Attention Sophomores and Juniors: The CATS club is receiving applications for the 2019-2020 school year. If you are interested in an opportunity to work closely with your peers, lead, and mentor new students, please consider applying! Applications can be picked up in the main office and are due Friday, December 14.

Come celebrate the season with the Band and Orchestra Concerts next week. Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will perform on Wednesday, December 12 at 6:30 pm. Chamber Orchestra and String Orchestra will perform on Thursday, the 13 at 7:00 pm. General Admission tickets will be available online and at the door for $5.00.

The Strategy Club will meet Thursday, December 13 after school in room 7.

The next fundraising meeting for Travel Club will be on Monday, December 10 at 2:10 pm in room 233. Please contact Sra. Ruiz if you are unable to attend.

The second session of the Jump Start Tutoring Program will start in the beginning of January and will run through early March. This is your opportunity to help a middle school student with their homework and give back to our community! Jump Start is held each Thursday afternoon and transportation is available. Please pick up an application from the counseling office and return it by Friday, December 14. This is a great opportunity so get your application today!

The Coolidge Scholarship program is open for this year. This highly selective scholarship is for JUNIORS only. If selected, recipients will receive a full-ride scholarship for four years of undergraduate study to any American college or university. The application deadline is Wednesday, January 23. Information can be found in Naviance or at www.CoolidgeScholars.org

There will be a member of the United States Marines here to discuss the NROTC Scholarship program on Tuesday, December 18 at 1:00 pm. NROTC stands for Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps. If you are interested in finding out how this type of military scholarship can help pay for your college education, sign up in Naviance to attend this visit. Seniors: Today is the LAST day to submit transcript request forms for any January 1 application deadlines.

School Counseling and the Career Center will kick-off scholarship season with an information session on Tuesday, December 18 at 2:00 pm in the auditorium. Additionally, there will be drop-in hours in the Career Center all day on Wednesday and Thursday, December 19 and 20. Counselors will be available to help you understand the scholarship process better. No appointments are needed. Come during any free periods or your lunch wave during those days.

Cooking Club members: We will be crafting our December menu this Wednesday, December 12 after school in room 105. Officers are required to attend, but anyone can help us in this planning meeting. Any questions? See Ms. Cliff or Sra. Ruiz.
