The Handball Tournament scheduled for tonight has been canceled.  It will be rescheduled for a later date.  Money can be returned if you see Mrs. Barrett in the Business Ed. office or in room 122. 

The Town of South Windsor’s Collector of Revenue office is looking for a part-time tax assistant on a seasonal basis.  The position is primarily for June to August, but may extend to other tax collection times throughout the year.  Students with strong customer service and math skills are encouraged to apply.  Preference will be given to current sophomores and juniors of working age, but seniors who intend to stay local upon graduation may also apply.  Information regarding payment, hours and how to apply can be found on a flyer in the Career Center. 

Interact is hosting a Badminton Tournament on Friday, May 17 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the gym.  It’s $12 per team of two.  All the money will go towards purchasing supplies for Our Companions Animal Rescue in Manchester.  Sign-ups will be open in the cafeteria through all lunch waves.

Interact is hosting an Olympics event on Friday, May 24 from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm in the gym.  Teams of 4-6 members will compete in handball, giant tennis, minute-to-win-it games, Jeopardy, and Singo.  The cost is $10 per person and will include food.  All proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.  Sign-ups are in Mrs. Howard's room, 134.  Forms are due TODAY.

The South Windsor Administrator Association is offering 2 scholarships for graduating seniors. Both are $500 and applications are due by noon on June 1.  The SWAA Scholarship is given to a graduating senior who has a parent, step parent, grandparent or step grandparent who is a member of the South Windsor Administrator Association.  The Perseverance Award is given to a graduating student who has overcome academic, social, or personal challenges during their 4 years of high school.  Both scholarships require an online application and an essay.  Students can access the application and information through Naviance or the South Windsor High School homepage.

If you are a Senior attending the Senior Outing to Holiday Hill and need to take the early bus, you must print and return the Early Bus form to Ms. Griswold in room 227 no later than Wednesday, May 15.  The early bus will leave at 2:30 pm from the outing and return to the high school around 3:30 pm.  The Early Bus form can be found on the Class of 2019 Google Classroom page.

Anyone interested in the Leadership Greater Hartford Common Ground workshop must bring their permission slips to Ms. Lane TODAY.

Girls’ Lacrosse defeated RHAM and will take on Lewis Mills at home today at 4:00 pm on the turf.

Please come out and support the Boys Volleyball team for their Senior Game on Wednesday, May 15 to congratulate seniors Jared Caroline, Justin Coralli, Owen Cotton, Stefan Erwin, Marcus Foote, Charles Lagasse and Dan Sullivan.  JV will play at 4:00 pm.  Varsity will play at 5:15 pm against Wethersfield.
