Hey Bobcat foodies!  Come join our last Cooking Club meal and prepare and taste Summer Picnic eats and Sweet no-bake Treats TODAY, Wednesday, May 15 in room 105!  We will be making and enjoying: iced tea, mandarin orange chicken chow mein salad, taco hot dogs, creamy pesto pasta, herbed ricotta and fresh tomato tart, Mexican corn on the cob, s’mores rice krispie treats, no-bake cheesecake and vanilla wafers with  cheesecake dip.  Bring $5 to Sra. Ruiz or Ms. Clifford.

Mrs. Belval’s Allied Health Class is hosting a Hat Drive!  All hats are being donated to cancer patients at CT Children’s Medical Center!  Hats must be brand new and have the tags still attached.  The event is running from May 13 to May 27.  Please bring the hats to Mrs. Belval’s room, room 204 in the science hallway.

The Strategy Club will meet on Thursday, May 16 after school in room 7.

The Science Fiction/Fantasy club will meet on Thursday, May 16 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm in room 127.  Join us to work on your own creative writing.

Attention students: The library will close at 2:30 pm on Thursday, May 16. Please plan accordingly. 

Interact is hosting a Badminton Tournament on Friday, May 17 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the gym.  It’s $12 per team of two.  All the money will go towards purchasing supplies for Our Companions Animal Rescue in Manchester.  Sign-ups will be open in the cafeteria through all lunch waves.

The Town of South Windsor’s Collector of Revenue office is looking for a part-time tax assistant on a seasonal basis.  The position is primarily for June to August, but may extend to other tax collection times throughout the year.  Students with strong customer service and math skills are encouraged to apply.  Preference will be given to current sophomores and juniors of working age, but seniors who intend to stay local upon graduation may also apply.  Information regarding payment, hours and how to apply can be found on a flyer in the Career Center. 

Seniors: The last chance to pay for the Senior Outing or Senior Reception is Thursday, May 16 from 2:00 - 2:45 pm in room 264.  If you are attending the Outing, you need a completed permission slip at the time of payment.

Freshman Class of 2022 Shirts are in!!  Please see Mrs. Barrett in the Business Ed office anytime today!

Athletic News:

Yesterday, Girls’ Track faced East Catholic.  Erin Dunn won pole vault, Katelyn Maycomber won high jump and Micaela Hanson won 100 hurdles.  Jess Polito got a personal best in the 3200.  The next meet is this Saturday at Manchester.

Girls’ Lacrosse lost to Simsbury 8-7, they will take on Glastonbury away on Thursday.
