The RACE committee wants to share a video for Autism Awareness month. (video to follow)

The Drama Department will present the Spring Play, Thornton Wilder's The Matchmaker this weekend. Come see fellow students perform a show about finding just the right partner. Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. Tickets will be sold at lunch and are available at the door. 

The annual South Windsor Schools Art Show continues to be open for viewing at the Public Library through May 9th. Please come and support the High School artists and see what kinds of projects you could make if you take an art class. There are displays from Painting, Drawing, Clay, Metalwork, Printmaking and Fashion classes and you will not be disappointed by this fabulous show. 
 
Attention seniors. The annual Senior Art Show will be happening at the South Windsor Public Library in May. If you have taken any art courses during your years at South Windsor High School, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to display your artwork in this juried show. If you are interested in earning an honor cord in art, you will need to participate in the judged section of this Senior Art Show. Applications are due May 4; see your art teacher for details and an application.

All SADD members planning on attending the field trip to St. Francis Hospital need to return their permission slips as soon as possible to Dr. Bombara in the School Counseling Office.

Attention juniors. SADD will be sponsoring the Prom Promise again this year. Sign the promise to not drink and drive the entire prom weekend and enter a raffle to win two free tickets to the prom or a refund of the cost of two tickets if you have already purchased your tickets. SADD will be in the Café, all lunch waves on Wednesday and Thursday this week. So, stop by, make the pledge, and sign the Prom Promise Banner. Let’s make this years’ prom Spectacular! 

Attention all future UConn ECE students- The ECE Courses for next year are Latin IV, Environmental Science, Marine Science, AP Literature and Composition, Classical Mythology, Modern Western Traditions and AP Physics 1. ECE is a program where students take UConn classes while at SWHS, and receive college credit good at UConn as well as most every other college in the country. College Credit is only received if you sign up correctly. There will be a mandatory assembly during Late Arrival on Monday April 30th at 7:45 am in the Auditorium. The Application deadline is June 1st, and the Enrollment deadline is June 30th. Please see Mr. Wry with any questions

The Boys Tennis Team lost a very competitive tight match to Glastonbury 3-4. Winners for South Windsor were Brandon Sze (#1 Singles), Femi Orisamolu (#4 Singles) and Jack Perry & Elijah Wood (#1 Doubles). Excellent effort by everyone that played. Our next match is Wednesday versus RHAM at home. Go Bobcats.
