Attention Mind's Eye members: we will hold an important planning meeting after school today in Room 146. All members should attend.

Students planning on attending the St. Francis Hospital field trip should remember to hand in the second set of permission slips by this Thursday, May 24. Please return them to the school counseling office.

This is an important announcement regarding the JE Shepard Memorial Award given by the South Windsor Jaycees. Due to a lack of applications, the deadline for this scholarship has been extended until Friday, May 25. This scholarship offers $2,000 for a South Windsor High School student who has demonstrated initiative, spirit and integrity in serving his or her community. Applications can be picked up in the Career Center or the School Counseling Office. All completed applications MUST be returned to Mrs. Carty no later than May 25. 

Athletic News:
-The boys’ tennis team was once again victorious with a 7-0 win against Simsbury. Winning in Singles were Brandon Sze, Ronnak Saxena, Femi Orisamolu and Parker Pacekonis. Every singles match was one with what is known in tennis as a double bagel - 6-0, 6-0. Winning in straight set wins in Doubles were Jack Perry & Elijah Wood and Sam Kim & Donny Sauer. The team currently has a record of 13 wins and 4 losses. In addition the team had a record of 6 wins and 1 loss against our CC East opponents which meant they captured first place in that division. All their hard work and determination have paid off. The last match of the season is Tuesday at Southington… Good luck, Bobcats.

-The boys’ volleyball team ended their regular season on a high note defeating East Hartford last night at home. The JV team won 2-0 and Varsity won 3-1. Both teams avenged their previous loss to their opponent and the Varsity team earned a better seeding in both upcoming tournaments. The Varsity team will play in the first round of the CCC tournament tonight when they travel to Newington for a 3:45pm start time. Good luck to the team, hope to see you there.

-Attention all members of the boys’ volleyball team. Today's bus to the CCC tournament match at Newington is at 2:10pm, with a match start time of 3:45pm. All JV team members not on the varsity post- season roster are encouraged to take the bus with varsity, and to contact Coach Holt about volunteering to work the match. Any questions, see Coach Holt.

-The girls’ golf team improved their record to 6-4 with a 20 shot victory over Bacon Academy shooting their season best 215. Meghna Mazumdar was medalist with a 43. Caroline McCullough, Aayushi Patel and Rachel Maher all played well.
