Attention all students taking AP Statistics or AP Calculus next year: the meeting to go over summer work will not be happening, as there is no summer work. Your AP Math teachers would like you to enjoy your summer and rest your brains so you are ready to work hard when we return to school in August.

Last night the SWHS Alumni Art Exhibition opened at the South Windsor Public Library. Alumni from 1972 up through 2016 are showing ceramics, jewelry, paintings and drawings. Artwork will be on display in the gallery and upper level showcases through June 21 during library hours.

If you are planning to attend MCC or a technical school; if you will enter the fields of Health Education, Physical Education, Dance or Recreation; or if you are a student athlete, there are still scholarships for you. And if you are a minority female pursuing geoscience, there is even a very specific scholarship for you. Check out Naviance or come to the Career Center for help.

If you are a “techie” looking for a summer internship, the Town of South Windsor’s Information Technology has an opportunity for you. This paid internship requires an individual who can update and install machines, maintain equipment inventory, and create “how to” documents among other tasks. A flier with information on hours, wages and how to apply is hanging in the Career Center.
