GSA members who are able to sit at the table during the Activities Fair tonight should see Mrs. Stodd Knapp in Room 148 before 8th period today.

Mrs. Stodd Knapp's Capstone students will meet in Room 148 after school on Wednesday, September 5. If you cannot make this meeting, please see Mrs. Stodd Knapp.

The SWHS Gay/Straight Alliance will hold its first meeting on Monday, September 17 at 2:00pm in Room 148. Snacks will be served. Check it out!

The National Honor Society is currently inviting eligible candidates to complete the selection process. If you are a junior or senior who has a cumulative, weighted GPA of 3.67, you should receive a letter in the mail notifying you of your candidacy. If you do not receive a letter but think you qualify, please see Miss. Griswold in Room 227. All eligible students should also attend the general body meeting on Wednesday, September 5 at 2:00pm in the cafeteria. Candidate packets and additional selection materials will be provided at that time. Please see Ms. Griswold in Room 227 if you cannot attend the meeting on Wednesday.

The UCONN Early College Experience Courses for this year are AP Lit, Modern Western Traditions, AP Econ, Classical Mythology, Latin IV, Environmental Science, Marine Science and AP Physics 1. ECE is a program where students take UConn classes while at SWHS and receive college credit good at UConn as well as almost every other college in the country. College Credit is only received if you sign up correctly. The LATE Application deadline is September 14, and the LATE Enrollment deadline is September 28. There is an extra $25 fee during this time period for all classes except AP Econ and Classical Mythology. Please see UConn’s website or Mr. Wry for more details.

Athletic News:
-Attention all members of the girls volleyball team. Practice today is from 2:45pm to 4:15pm. All 3 teams have the same practice time plus you will receive uniforms during that time too. Any questions, contact your coach.
