TODAY, October 19 is the last day students can register for MCC Credit. Please see Dr. Bombara if you have any questions.

The Gay Straight Alliance will meet on Monday in room 148 at 2:00 pm.  Make sure to bring any contributions for our Halloween event, and check Google Classroom for agenda items. We welcome new members at any time, so we hope to see you there!

Are you looking for something fun to do tonight? Come to the fourth annual South Windsor High Boys Soccer game at Rye Street. It's Senior Night and we are celebrating our 17 seniors. The Bobcats will take on the CCC South defending champions, the Berlin Redcoats at 6 pm. Admission is free. Please come to this unique town event. Last year we had over 400 people at the game. Let’s beat that number this year.

The Student Council will be hosting a tailgate before the Boys Varsity Soccer game at Rye Street at 5 pm. This is a freshmen only tailgate event. There will be games and free food donated by restaurants around the community. Any freshman who attends will also receive free admission to the game which starts at 6:00 pm.

Did you know that one pint of blood can save up to three lives? The South Windsor High School Blood Drive will be held on Wednesday, November 7. If you are interested in donating, please fill out the form posted on the grade level google classrooms or sign up during 5th period lunch waves today. Remember, it only takes 15 minutes to save a life.

UConn will hold an Open House program on Sunday, October 21 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. For more information and to register, visit openhouse.uconn.edu.

If you are a member of the SADD Club and did not attend the meeting on Wednesday morning, then please take the twitter survey that is posted on SWHSSADD. Please complete the survey by Friday afternoon.

If you are a student that is strongly involved in volunteering and community service and would like to be considered for the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, see Mrs. Carty in the Career Center for details on how you can apply. Applications are due by November 6. Prizes include a $1,000 award and an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. with the potential for even more awards.

Want to learn to write your name in Japanese? Watch Anime, learn Japanese and eat sushi? We will do this at the Japanese Club on Tuesday, October 23, in room 230 right after school. Please contact Mr. Mabasa if you are interested, so enough sushi can be ordered.

For all students who successfully enrolled in this year’s SWHS-UConn ECE program, please check your email account or your UConn SAS account for your course fee bill. They are due by November 15 to avoid a late fee.
