Today is SADD Makes You Happy Day! The SADD Club would like to encourage you to share kindness today in honor of the victims of Sandy Hook. Please take time to thank someone that you appreciate or give a kind word to someone new. We hope that you enjoyed the treats, candy canes, music, flowers and notes around the school.

Yoga Club will meet Monday, December 17 at 2:15 pm in the Chorus room. Everyone is welcome. See Ms. Lane in room 6 with any questions.

Reminder to any seniors interested in the Seal of Bi-literacy. The sign up meeting is this Monday, December 17 at 7:15 am during late arrival in the Language Lab room 234A.

Holiday Spirit Week is next week! The themes for each day are as follows:
Monday, December 17: Ugly Sweater Day, please bring a canned good. 
Tuesday, December 18: Wear your festive holiday hats and socks.
Wednesday, December 19: Flannel Day to support South Windsor For The Kids. Please bring in $2 if you want to participate in this day and help raise funds for a great cause.
Thursday, December 20: Be creative and dress as your favorite holiday character.
Friday, December 21st is Pajama Day and remember it’s a 1/2 day to start the holiday break.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors: The CATS club is receiving applications for the 2019-2020 school year. If you are interested in an opportunity to work closely with your peers, lead, and mentor new students, please consider applying! Applications can be picked up in the main office and are due TODAY!

The Cooking Club invites you to an afternoon of festive holiday treats and cozy comfort foods. On Wednesday, December 19, we'll be making mac and cheese, baked potato soup with toppings, gingerbread cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, and so much more. Bring $5 to Ms. Cliff or Sra. Ruiz to reserve your spot!

There will be a member of the United States Marines here to discuss the NROTC Scholarship program on Tuesday, December 18 at 1:00 pm. NROTC stands for Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps. If you are interested in finding out how this type of military scholarship can help pay for your college education, sign up in Naviance to attend this visit. It is listed under College Visits as NROTC Scholarship.

School Counseling and the Career Center will kick-off scholarship season with an information session on Tuesday, December 18 at 2:00 pm in the auditorium. Additionally, there will be drop-in hours in the Career Center all day on Wednesday and Thursday, December 19 and 20. Counselors will be available to help you understand the scholarship process better. No appointments are needed. Come during any free periods or your lunch wave.
