Mind's Eye is hosting another Coffee House on Thursday, March 7 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Media Center. It will be an open mic, so come enjoy music, poetry, and other writing. Snacks will be provided. Please bring a one dollar donation.

The make-up date for the Monday, March 4 SAT prep class will be held Friday, March 8, beginning at 2:30 pm in the Media Center Seminar Room.

Junior Capstone Update: All Juniors need to turn in a signed Capstone Adviser contract to Mr. Richards in room 163 or Ms. Walsh in room 158 by this Friday, March 8. If you fail to do so, an adviser will be assigned to you.

There will be a Student Council meeting Thursday, March 7 after school in room 163. We will be planning for Trivia Night. All representatives should attend.

Student Council is hosting the 2nd Annual Trivia Night on Friday, March 15 at 6:30 pm in the Cafe! Sign up with teams up to 5 during your lunch waves. Team registration costs $10 total. 1st place will win a $200 gift card to Sakura, 2nd place will win a $100 gift card to Friendly's and 3rd place will win a $50 gift card to Dairy Queen!  Come sign up for the fun!

Game of Tiaras rehearsals this week are Thursday, March 7 and Friday, March 8. Plan accordingly for rides.

The Science Fiction / Fantasy Club meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, March 11. Join us to watch and discuss Edge of Tomorrow in room 127 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.

Are you looking for an interesting or productive way to spend some of your summer time?  A representative from Summer Discovery and Discovery Internships will visit the Career Center on TODAY, Wednesday, March 6 during lunch waves to talk with students about a variety of options. Sign up in Naviance to attend and learn more.

Bristol Technical Education Center will hold an Open House on Thursday, March 7 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Current 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students are invited to attend and explore their interests in Bristol Tech’s career and technical programs including Precision Machining, Culinary Arts, Electronics, Automotive, HVAC and Welding. There is a flyer in the Career Center or for more information go to bristol.cttech.org.

The New England Institute of Technology will visit tomorrow, Thursday, March 7 during period 2. This visit will take place in the Alt Ed building and is open to any student wanting to learn more about any of their associate or bachelor degree programs. Please sign up in Naviance and see your counselor or Mrs. Carty for a pass.

The Italian Club meeting has been postponed to Monday, March 11 right after school in room 226. We'll be watching a movie and having pizza.  Please bring $5 to Mrs. Zaccardelli to save yourself a spot.

Seniors: The Dollars for Scholars portal will close on March 15. While many of you have started applications, a large portion of you have not reached full applicant status. Come to School Counseling or the Career Center if you need help with your application. Don’t forget about the numerous other scholarship opportunities in Naviance. There are a few scholarships due before the end of this month and many more coming up with March deadlines.

Interact Members, remember Thursday, March 7 is our whole club March meeting. It will be at 2:05 pm in Mrs. Howard's room, 134. Please come to sign up for events. Any questions? See Mrs. Howard in room 134.

Interact is hosting a Badminton Tournament on Friday, March 22 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the school gym. It is $10 per team of two and sign-ups will be up in the cafeteria at lunch this week and next week. All the money will go towards purchasing supplies for Our Companions Animal Rescue in Manchester. Any questions, please see Mrs. Howard in room 134.

Athletic News:

Any SWHS student-athlete wishing to participate in our final NLI signing/Athlete Recognition Day on March 11, should notify Athletic Director, Dave Sytulek of this intent to reserve your spot. The celebration will take place in the Library Media Center Seminar room at 8:00 am. The deadline to participate in this recognition day is Thursday, March 7 by 2:00 pm.

All girls who are doing Track and Field must attend a mandatory meeting on Monday, March 11 after school in the cafeteria. See Coach McCullough in room 127 if you have questions.
