Seniors: There is a new group of scholarships with April deadlines waiting for you in Naviance! Highlights include the NEACAC scholarship, the ECHN scholarship for students pursuing health fields, South Windsor Little League’s awards for students who are former players, the brand new William Perry scholarship exclusively for a South Windsor student who has achieved academic success while being a student leader, and the JE Shepard award from the Jaycees for students who embody integrity and spirit in their community. Juniors: Are you interested in serving on the State of Connecticut Board of Education? This highly coveted position would have you working with State of Connecticut political leaders in helping shape and develop educational policies and lend a student perspective to lawmakers. These state level meetings take place one Wednesday a month in Hartford for the entire school day. See Mr. Wry in Guidance if interested.
The Science Fiction/Fantasy club will hold one meeting in April, which will be Monday, April 15, the day we return from April break. Join us in room 127 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm to watch and discuss Maze Runner.
