An important reminder regarding upcoming scholarships: Deadlines are approaching for three great opportunities for South Windsor students.  The William L. Perry Scholarship is only for South Windsor High School students and will be awarded to a student who has demonstrated leadership in multiple school activities while maintaining high academic achievement.  The JE Shepard Memorial Award is given by the South Windsor Jaycees to a student with integrity and community spirit.  Finally, the South Windsor Rotary Scholarship is now open and goes to a student who has demonstrated academic achievement, community involvement (including work experience) and financial need. All of these scholarships are VERY LOCAL and have not had many applicants.  Applications are available in Naviance or the Career Center – get them completed for your opportunity to be considered.  The Perry scholarship is due April 26 and the Shepard and Rotary awards are due April 29.
