Have you wanted to improve your leadership skills?  Take part in a Leadership Greater Hartford workshop here at South Windsor High School in the Seminar Room on Friday, May 24.  This will be an interactive workshop that will introduce you to the five practices of exemplary leadership and the Common Ground program.  See Ms. Lane in room 6 for a permission slip or with any questions.  Space is limited and permission slips must be in by this Friday, May 10.

Hey Bobcat Foodies!  Join us for a Cooking Club planning meeting after school Wednesday, May 8 in room 105.  We will be crafting our last menu of the year, featuring summer eats and cool treats.  Our last cooking session will be next Wednesday after school, so bring in your $5 to Ms. Cliff or Sra. Ruiz to reserve your spot!

For those students who attended the UConn ECE Assembly in the Auditorium, but did not receive an ECE Application, please visit School Counseling, as they have received more from UConn.  The application due date is June 7.

Seniors: please consider submitting an original poem to the Grad Poem Contest.  Write a poem that you will be read at the Graduation Ceremony.  Please submit your work to Ms. Pieratti or Ms. White by Friday, May 10 for consideration of this great honor. 

The Drama Department will have auditions for the fall musical on Tuesday, May 28, and Wednesday, May 29.  See the signs in the English hallway to sign up on Google Classroom.

Athletic News:

The Boys Tennis Team had a dominant victory over EO Smith with a score of 6-1.  Winning for the Bobcats were Singles players: Ronnak Saxena, Jack Perry and Elijah Wood.  Winning in Doubles were the teams of Sam Kim & Donny Sauer, Jason Rickenbacher & Jonathan Huot and Andris Reba & Dan Zhu.  A special shout out to Jeeva Shunmugaraja, while normally a doubles player, stepped in to play 4th Singles and had a great match going to a 3rd set 10 point tiebreak!  The Bobcats next match is today at Hall.

Varsity Girls Lacrosse lost to Conard in overtime 8-7.  JV defeated Conard 6-4.  The program will go to Simsbury on Wednesday, RHAM on Thursday and will host Lewis Mills on Friday.
