The Japanese Club will meet today, Thursday, May 9 in room 230.  We will eat Japanese food and watch Naruto Episodes.

The Strategy Club will not meet today.  The club will meet next Thursday instead.

Seniors: please consider submitting an original poem to the Grad Poem Contest.  Write a poem that you will be read at the Graduation Ceremony.  Please submit your work to Ms. Pieratti or Ms. White by tomorrow, May 10 for consideration of this great honor. 

Would you like to improve your leadership skills?  Attend the Common Ground Leadership workshop happening in the Seminar Room on Friday, May 24.  See Ms. Lane in room 6 for a permission slip.  Space is limited and permission slips must be in by TOMORROW, May 10.

Calling all Juniors!  The Bobcat Prowl is working on their next addition of the Season Rewind and we need your pictures of prom!  If you would like your pictures from prom to be included in the magazine, please email them to [email protected].  See Ms. Dobosz for more information or if you have any questions.

Interact is hosting a Badminton Tournament on Friday, May 17 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in the gym.  It’s $12 per team of two.  All the money will go towards purchasing supplies for Our Companions Animal Rescue in Manchester.  Sign-ups will be open in the cafeteria through all lunch waves.

Interact is hosting an Olympics event on Friday, May 24 from 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm in the gym.  Teams of 4-6 members will compete in handball, giant tennis, minute-to-win-it games, Jeopardy, and Singo.  The cost is $10 per person and will include food.  All proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.  Sign- ups are in Mrs. Howard's room, 134.  Forms are due by May 10.

The Drama Department will have auditions for the Fall Musical on Tuesday, May 28, and Wednesday, May 29.  See the signs in the English hallway to sign up on Google Classroom.

Athletic News:

Girls’ Tennis had a nice win over Enfield yesterday, scoring 7-0. Singles Sam Donovan, Sophia Chin and Caitlin Sze all ended with double bagels, and Ananya Srivatsav played 4th singles, also winning her game. Strong matches were also played by Caitlin Sauer and Jina Lee, Rebecca Kenefick and Nikitha Kikanamada, and new players Lindsey Lucia and Isha Bang. 

First singles Caitlin Sze has been nominated for the CT Varsity Athlete of the Week, so be sure to vote for her by Sunday. CLICK HERE to vote!

The Boys Tennis Team had a dominant win over Enfield 6-1.  Winning for the Bobcats were Singles Players Ronnak Saxena, Jack Perry and Elijah Wood and Doubles Teams of Jason Rickenbacher & Jonathan Huot, Andris Reba and Manav Sheth and Anthony Chen & Matthew Chin.  All matches were won in straight sets. A special shout out to Freshmen Anthony Chen & Matthew Chin playing in their first varsity match and coming home with a win.  The next match for the Bobcats is a combined match on Friday with the Girls team at Berlin where both teams get to play under the lights.  Come out to support the teams and watch an evening of great high school tennis!
