Bobcats Vote will be holding a voter registration drive TODAY from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the lobby. Anyone who is 18 or will be 18 by November 3rd is encouraged to stop by!

TAP club has their first upcoming volunteer event at a local food bank/shelter in Manchester on Saturday, October 5th. If interested please sign up on the Google classroom by TODAY.

East Hartford High School is hosting a FAFSA Day this Saturday, October 5th form 11:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. where students and parents can get help filling out their FAFSA forms. See the flyer in the Career Center for complete details on where to go and what to bring.

If you are interested in aviation – whether flying or working on planes – there will be a Young Eagles Rally at Meriden-Markham Airport on Saturday, October 5th from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.  A parent or guardian must accompany you in order for you to register to take a free flight and learn about what pilots do before, during and after a flight. You can find a flyer with details on the Programs and Events board in the Career Center.

The South Windsor Sexuality and Gender Alliance, or SAGA, will meet Monday, October 7th at 2:00 p.m. in room 148. Come support the LGBTQ community and have some snacks! New members are always welcome.

The Class of 2021 is selling t-shirts for $12 until October 8th. Please get your t-shirt order in as soon as possible. Payments can be made in cash once the shirts arrive. Shirts will be delivered during homeroom. Go to the Class of 2021 Google Classroom and fill out the Google form to complete the order.

There will be a meeting for all INTERESTED NEW MEMBERS for the Robotics team on Tuesday, October 8th right after school in room 12.

Bienvenue aux Français! We are delighted to welcome, for the 18th time, friends from France on Thursday, October 10th. Please be sure and say "bonjour" when you see them in class and in the halls on Friday, October 11th! They are here to experience our American way of life for one week, visiting our school, Boston, New York and other points of interest in the area while staying with American Hosts who are students of French. Please join us in giving them a big Bobcat welcome! Merci!

Anyone interested in one of the cool new TAP t-shirts should fill out the T-Shirt form on Google Classroom and bring in $12 to Mr. Webb, no later than Friday, October 11th.

A message for all Seniors: Do you have questions about Capstone? We have the answers. Come see Mr. Richards and Ms. Walsh in the cafeteria during PSAT testing on Wednesday, October 16th. We will be available from 7:25 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Please bring a charged Chromebook and we can walk you through the Capstone process.  

College visits continue next week with Johnson & Wales visiting on Monday. Check Naviance or see the white board outside the Career Center for other upcoming visits. Remember to work on applications and essays over the weekend and come in for help if you need it!

A friendly reminder to anyone interested in bowling. There is still time to get your permission slip in for the first day of the Bowling Club, Tuesday, October 8th. Please see Mr. Gray in 168 if you have any questions.

Attention SAT Test takers: Please remember to bring your admission ticket, separate photo i.d., #2 pencils, and a calculator for tomorrow’s test. Doors open at 7:15 a.m. Please arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. Good luck!

Athletic News:

Athletic Study Hall will be held today in room 102 from 2:10 to 3:10 p.m.

The Varsity Girls Soccer team defeated Bristol Central High School yesterday by a score of 3 to 2. Caitlin Sauer and Emma Smith had a goal and an assist each and Ella Manning had her first of the season. Kelly Morson, Maddie Westfall and Candace Walsh had wonderful games while Maria Galley made 7 saves. The team next plays Tuesday at East Catholic.
