This week is Holiday Spirit Week!
Today is Holiday Hats & Sweaters
Friday: Holiday PJ Day
The school is having a CCMC pajama day Friday, we are collecting $1 from everyone that participates in this event! All the proceeds go directly to CCMC.

The Freshman Class of 2023 will be hosting a fundraiser at a local sandwich shop on Sullivan Avenue this Thursday, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. We will receive 100% of the proceeds. Please stop by and support your Freshman Class.

Seniors applying to colleges, please note that the last day to submit Academic Records Request forms for applications due January 15th is this Friday, December 20th. Because of the upcoming winter break, the School Counseling office needs this time to process your request in order to meet this deadline.

Do you like to give back to our community? Are you interested in helping middle school students with their homework? Are you looking for something to do this winter and want to try a new club? If you answered yes to these questions, then pick up an application for the JUMP START tutoring program. Session 2 starts right after the break, so pick up your forms in the Counseling Office TODAY.

Attention Seniors: The next opportunity for students to give Capstone presentations is January 23rd and 24th. In advance of this date, students must sign up to reserve a slot to make their presentations. Students will sign up on the Google form that is available under “The Capstone Experience” on the SWHS website. Sign-ups will run through January 10th. In order to present, you must submit your written work to your advisor by January 10th and you must earn a “successful” or higher on all written work. Capstone requirements are detailed on the SWHS website. If you have any questions about the requirements, please contact your advisor.
Students who have not signed up by January 10th will have changes made to their second semester schedules. Such changes include, but are not limited to:
-       Being assigned a structured study hall to be used for working on Capstone requirements.
-       Having early release privilege revoked in order to have a structured study hall to be used for working on Capstone requirements.
-       Having electives for semester 2 removed to schedule a structured study hall to be used for working on Capstone requirements.

Scholarship season is underway! There are a number of opportunities, but students are encouraged to check out the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Scholarship program.
