Juniors: Please remind your parents/guardians that TONIGHT is Junior Parents Night. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. This is a parent event, students should not attend.

Seniors: A friendly reminder that the January Capstone presentation waves are right around the corner. Please check in with your adviser, sign up to present using the Google Form located on the Capstone webpage, and complete your written work by Friday, January 10th. Any senior who does not present their Capstone on Thursday, January 23rd or Friday, January 24th will have a change made to their second semester schedules. These changes may include loss of lockout and being placed in a structured study hall. If you have any questions or concerns please see Ms. Walsh in room 158 or Mr. Richards in room 163.

Interested in raising money for the American Cancer Society? The Relay for Life Club will hold an information session after school on Thursday, January 9th in room 143. Please see Mrs. Frasier with any questions. All are welcome.

The Strategy Club will meet this week after school on Thursday, January 9th in room 7. We will try again this week to take a yearbook photo.

FCCLA members: Our meeting will be held this Thursday, January 9th instead of January 16th. The FCCLA Representative for CT is coming to answer any questions you have about the March 6th competitions. Please come prepared with questions. We will meet after school in Wapping room 11.

The Freshman Class of 2023 will be having a fundraiser at a local bakery and coffee shop on Hemlock Avenue. Please join us from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on this Friday, January 10th.

The Bobcat Bowling Club is getting ready to roll for Session 2. Permission slips are available in room 168 and are due by January 21st. If you have any questions please see Mr. Gray in room 168.

South Windsor For The Kids will be selling club shirts this week during all lunch waves. The shirts are $15 and includes the entrance for the dance marathon. For everyone attending the dance, you must buy a shirt. Order forms are on our classroom: v03ocy1 and will be up during lunch. We will also be selling Pura Vida bracelets for $6 during the week.

If you are planning on participating in the South Windsor for the Kids Dodgeball Tournament make sure that a representative from your team picks up a captain's packet during all lunch waves this week.

Conard High School in West Hartford will host a gap year fair featuring both gap year programs and summer opportunities. The event takes place on Thursday, January 9th from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. To pre-register, go to USAGapYearFairs.org/fairs. A flyer about the event is hanging in the Career Center.

This is a reminder to all seniors interested in applying for scholarships through Hartford Foundation for Public Giving that the application deadline for their largest pool of scholarships is coming up on Wednesday, January 15th. You can apply at www.HFPGscholarships.org or find the link through the scholarship database in Naviance. One application will allow you to be considered for over 70 scholarships.
