All students interested in doing Tech for the fall musical, "Annie," should report to Mrs. White at rehearsal in the auditorium this Friday, at 2:15pm. We will start assigning jobs and understanding stage hand responsibilities. 

Any student who would like to be involved in our school's “It Takes One” program should bring in the permission slip and money by this Friday, October 27. Please consider taking part in the powerful event on distracted driving and making good choices. Permission slips can be brought to Ms. Flachsbart in Room 129. 

A reminder that RHO KAPPA, national Social Studies Honor Society applications must be submitted by next Monday, October 30. The RHO KAPPA induction night has been changed to November 30.

A reminder to interested students – Roger Williams University will be here after school today at 2:00pm in the Career Center.  Tomorrow is a very busy day with visits from University of New England, The Culinary Institute of America, Penn State, and Connecticut College. Please sign up in Naviance if you are interested in meeting with these representatives and arrive on time for your visit!

Attention students: If you’re interested in taking a 2018 AP exam and are not currently enrolled in an AP course, please see Mr. Peters or Ms. Wlodarczyk in the School Counseling Office before the end of this week.

Attention Mind's Eye members: Mind's Eye will hold a meeting after school today, October 24, in Room 146. Current members as well as anyone interested in joining may attend.

Reminder…the Teen Center Youth Council is hosting tournaments, games and giveaways at the Teen Center on Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate Red Ribbon Week. These are free events; all are welcome!

The Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Organization (HOBY) is a nationally recognized group dedicated to developing leaders through national conferences and training. Any sophomore interested in applying to attend the HOBY Leadership Seminar taking place in the spring are invited to see Mr. Wry in School Counseling for either an application or more details.

Wednesday is National Unity Day. Join SADD to show your support by wearing Orange tomorrow. Take a stand against bullying and promote kindness and inclusion!

Remember to send your friends a Jack O Gram! FBLA is selling Jack O Grams all week during all lunch waves. Jack O Grams will sell for $2.00 each or 2 for $3.00 or 3 for $5.00. Please support your local FBLA chapter! See Mrs. Barrett with any questions!  

Don’t forget…Madame Rosano's Capstone Students, a Practice Presentation Session will be held tomorrow Room 228, immediately after school. All students advised by Madame Rosano are welcome to attend, whether you are presenting in November or not. 

Athletic News:
-Attention winter athletes:  Please remember, you need to sign up online for a winter sport by November 15 in order to be eligible for the first day of tryouts.  If you played a fall sport, stop by the Main Office to move your sports forms forward to the winter sport.  At that time, you can drop off your check for $125.00.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Jelly in the Main Office.

-Are you interested in playing Girls Ice Hockey?  Then attend an informational meeting on Tuesday October 31 at 2:15pm in Room 102 at South Windsor High School…..and find out more about the South Windsor/East Catholic/Glastonbury Coop Girls Ice Hockey Team.

-The Boys Soccer Team needs your support on Friday.  They are playing Manchester under the lights in their third annual Rye Street Soccer game at 6:00pm. JV will be playing at 4:00pm. We will be asking for a $2.00 donation at the entrance.  This money will go towards a piece of soccer equipment the team would like to purchase.  There will be a small concession stand. The Booster Club will be selling scarves, t-shirts and stadium chairs.  We hope to see you there to cheer on the Bobcats!  

-The Girls Volleyball Team played Manchester at home for senior night with both varsity and JV winning with clean sweeps. Varsity won 3-0 and JV 2-0. The freshmen team will host Ellington tomorrow with a 4:00pm start, and the whole team will travel to East Catholic to wrap up their regular season matches. Hope to see you there! A reminder to the girls on the volleyball team…all players will have practice from 3:30-5:00pm today. Please attend study hall after school then report to the gym ready for practice by 3:20pm. Any questions, see Coach Holt.

-The Girls Volleyball Team will be having a fundraiser at a local Mexican restaurant in Evergreen walk this Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the team, but be sure to bring a copy of the flier to have your purchase count towards the fundraiser. Thanks again for all of your support of the team.

-Field hockey defeated Farmington 7-1. They will take on Hall at home Wednesday at 4:15pm. 

-There will be no open gym this Wednesday October 25.

-There will be a Boys Lacrosse meeting this Thursday after school at 2:15pm in Room 102 for returning and interested players to discuss Winter League. Any questions can be directed to Quinn Hannigan and Tyler Osit.
