November 1st marks the beginning of Native American Heritage Month. The month is an opportunity to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Indigenous peoples, while the learning continues throughout the year. CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:
Mind's Eye, our school's literary magazine, will host a Coffee House on Friday, November 3rd from 6-8pm in the school library. This is an open mic night to share your art, music, and writing! All are welcome, and snacks will be provided.
Interact’s November monthly meeting is on Thursday, November 2nd in the SEMINAR ROOM at 2:10pm. Members who would like the option of getting early access to November volunteer opportunities should attend.
Water Launch Club is hosting a fundraiser at a local sandwich shop located at 1006 Sullivan Avenue on November 1st from 4-6m.
COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER:
UCONN’s School of Nursing will be holding an information session on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 9:30-10:30 AM in the Career Center. Representatives from UCONN will be meeting with students to promote their Early Intro to Nursing Professions Program. This information session is for students grades 9-11 interested in a career in Nursing. Interested students, please see Mrs. Bravo in Room 100.
