March is Women’s History Month. Today we honor: Lois Jenson. Lois Jenson was a female employee in a mine, where she faced merciless sexual harassment. After suffering for years, Jenson filed a complaint, beginning the first class action sexual harassment lawsuit in America. Following the 14 year legal battle that Jenson led, the mining company settled with the women who had been sexually harassed, in 1991. This case led to widespread changes, such as the implementation of sexual harassment policies.
