The Bobcat Robotics team hosted its inaugural FIRST Lego League Event for students in grades 4-8 this past weekend at Timothy Edwards Middle School. SWHS robotics students served as judges, scorekeepers, sound technicians, ambassadors, MC's and referees. Several students made a video montage of the event for spectator viewing at the end of the event. Members of the Interact Club also helped by volunteering at the event that saw an estimated 300 people in attendance. NBC30 News featured the event on several news segments this past weekend!

Congratulations to the two teams from South Windsor who competed in the event. The Technobots won the Robot Design Award and one of four "golden tickets" awarded at the event to attend the Connecticut State Championships. The Blue Sky Bots won an Innovation Project Award and also earned a golden ticket.

Thank you to TEMS for hosting the event. Special congratulations to the planning committee of students who planned and orchestrated the very successful event: Pravav Ramesh, Sidharth Masarur, Michael Ngo, Aarav Nair and Sivani Arvapalli.
