SCHOOL NEWS:

September 11th Anniversary recognition:
Sunday marks the 21st anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001.  Each year, we take a moment to pause and remember the tragic events of that day. Similarly, we recognize those who risked and lost their lives and other individuals who demonstrated selflessness to protect, support and care for others during and as a result of these events.

Attention Students: SWHS has a Teacher Assistant program where students help teachers in their classroom while one of the teacher’s classes is occurring.  This program is typically for students who have a Study Hall, but want to utilize that time helping a teacher instead.  If you are interested in this program, please visit your School Counselor for details.

Did you miss out on wearing your Bobcat gear this past Friday?   Well, the SWHS class of 2025 has got you covered! We have an online storefront available at: stores.inksoft.com/swbobcats/shop/home  where you can order tees, sweats, or the hottest new Bobcat flannel pants.  Check out our store before it closes on September 20th and remember to visit our booth at the Wapping Fair this weekend!

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:

The Academic Support Club will be starting on Monday, September 12th. We meet every Monday to Thursday, from 2 to 3:30 in room 122A. National Honor Society tutors will be available to help you each day with your homework. We will provide a snack and a drink. Come on down if you need any help! There are late buses every day but Tuesday. On Tuesday, you need to get a ride home. See Mrs. Barrett with any questions.

Attention Interact Members, our first meeting will be soon, stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, we already have some events that need volunteers, so please check them out in last year's Interact classroom. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Howard in room 134.

Looking to pen-pal and create a friendship with a female student in Kenya? Are you interested in discussing women's rights issues and advocating for female empowerment? Then Unified for Underprivileged Girls is the club for you! Please come to the informational meeting on September 15th from 2:00 to 3:00 in the Seminar Room if interested.
