The annual South Windsor Schools Art Show continues to be open for viewing at the Public Library through May 9th. Please come and support the High School artists and see what kinds of projects you could make if you take an art class. There are displays from Painting, Drawing, Clay, Metalwork, Printmaking and Fashion classes and you will not be disappointed by this fabulous show.

ECE is a program where students take UConn classes while at SWHS, and receive college credit good at UConn as well as most every other college in the country. College Credit is only received if you sign up correctly. There will be a mandatory assembly during Late Arrival on Monday April 30th at 7:45 am in the Auditorium. The Girls Tennis team continues to defend their undefeated title after their win against Farmington yesterday with a score of 5-2. All 4 singles players Caitlin Sze, Varsha Rathore, Sophia Chin, Sam Donovan had a clean sweep. 1st doubles players Leah Polansky and Jia Yazon held strong, winning a tough match. This brings their record to 4-0. Next match is against RHAM tomorrow.
The Boys Volleyball team had another clean sweep last night at Home vs. Bulkeley. The JV won 2-0 improving their record to 7-0 and Varsity won 3-0 putting their current record at 6-1. The team will travel the next two days to face Farmington tomorrow and East Hartford on Thursday. Best of luck to the team and we hope to see you there!
Boys Tennis had a dominant win yesterday defeating Middletown 7-0!! Straight set wins went to all players: Brandon Sze, Ronnak Saxena, Parker Pacekonis and Abhiram Gunti all playing singles and Donny Sauer & Sam Kim, Elijah Wood & Jack Perry and Jason Richenbacher & Dan Zhu all playing doubles. The team is on a roll with a 3-1 record and are looking to add 3 more wins this week against Glastonbury, RHAM and Hall. The team's first home match is Tuesday against Glastonbury - Come cheer the team on and show your support!

If you are a senior attending the senior outing to Holiday Hill and need to take the early bus, you must print and return the Early Bus Form to Miss Griswold in Room 227 no later than May 16. School Guide is an annual publication that offers tips and planning suggestions for the college admissions process and also provides an extensive state by state list of colleges and military programs. After a tough match against Farmington Boys Tennis came back strong with a convincing win over Tolland 5-2. Singles winners were Ronnak Saxena in straight sets and Parker Pacekonis winning in a 3rd set 10 point tiebreak. Doubles winners were Sam Kim & Donny Sauer, Elijah Wood & Jack Perry, and Jason Rickenbacher & Wayne Huang all in straight set wins. -The girls’ lacrosse team played Ellington yesterday; Varsity won 17-5 and JV won 13-3. The girls will take on Cheshire this Saturday at 10:00am.
-The boys’ tennis team was narrowly defeated by Farmington by a score of 4-3. #1 Singles Brandon Sze, #2 Singles Ronnak Saxena and the #3 Doubles Team of Jack Perry & Elijah Wood all won their matches in impressive straight sets. The #1 Doubles Team of Sam Kim and Donny Sauer was the last match on the court and had an extremely exciting match. After losing the first set 2-6, they battled back to win the second set 7-6 and barely lost the 10 point tiebreak by a score of 8-10. Excellent job of staying in the match until the last point. The team’s first home match is Tuesday, April 24 at 3:45pm versus Glastonbury. The team would love to see as many fans there as possible. Come out and support the team, and we promise you will see some great tennis.
-Both boys’ volleyball teams defeated Glastonbury last night with JV winning 2-0 and Varsity 3-0. The team will be back home next Monday, April 23 when they host Bulkeley of Hartford. Good luck to the team and we hope you'll come out and cheer that night for your fellow Bobcats.

The 4x800 relay team of Marlena Klein, Lindsay Fishman, Isabelle Erikson and Jordan Roberts and 4X400 relay team of Anna Armstrong, Shannon Anthony, Missy Sullivan, and Elizabeth Martinez also scored first place points. The next girls’ track meet will be at Manchester on April 24.

-The boys’ golf team won their home opener against RHAM High School by three strokes. The Bobcats posted 177 at Topstone Golf Course lead by match medalist Jared Walter’s 38.
-Girls’ tennis won their first match of the season 6-1 against Rocky Hill. The singles squad swept their lines and an outstanding performance by senior doubles team Kelly Kozon and Payal Shah took a win in a tie break.
-Girls’ lacrosse took on Berlin High yesterday. Varsity came away with a hard-earned win of 12-10, and JV took the win 6-5. The girls take on Trumbull this Saturday at 10:00am. Come support the team!
-Boys’ tennis had a decisive win 6-1 at Newington in the first match of the season. Singles players Brandon Sze, Ronnak Saxena, and Parker Pacekonis won in straight sets and the doubles teams of Sam Kim & Donny Sauer, Jason Ricknbacher & Dan Zhu, and Elijah Wood & Jack Perry also won in straight sets. Neal Shah stepped in at the last minute for an ill player at 4th singles and played a great two set match. Thanks to Neal for being such a team player. The next match is Monday April 16 at home versus Glastonbury at 3:45pm. Please come out and support the team; we would love to see you there.

-Congratulations to the boys’ volleyball team for another clean sweep win last night at Enfield. The JV team won 2-0 and varsity 3-0. Best of luck to the team tomorrow night when they travel to play out-of-league opponent, Lewis Mills.
