SCHOOL NEWS:

November 11, 2022 marks Veterans Day. Veterans Day occurs every year in the United States in honor of the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918 that signaled the end of World War I, known as Armistice Day. In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially changed the name of the holiday from Armistice Day to Veterans Day. We take this opportunity each year to thank and honor those that have served our country and continue to serve. This year all students will be viewing a Veterans Day ceremony at South Windsor High School on 11/11.  Additionally, Veterans from our community including representatives from the Patriotic Commission and American Legion will be visiting classes. Thank you to all Veterans in our school community and greater community for their service and sacrifice.
