SCHOOL NEWS: 

 

If you’re interested in learning about and celebrating other people’s cultures, including Indian Americans and Hispanic Americans and a plethora of others, or if you’re interested in tasting food and trying activities from different cultures, join us for an amazing event! We recommend that you attend the multicultural fair where we will be celebrating on April 9th from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. Thank you!

 

The Class of 2027 is hosting a fundraiser at the Subway on Sullivan Avenue on April 9th from 4pm-7pm. 

 

The 9th Grade Class of 2028 is having a fundraiser at Sweet Frog at The Plaza at Buckland Hills 1500 Pleasant Valley Rd, Manchester, CT on Wednesday, April 9th from 5 PM – 8 PM. Please come help support the 9th Grade Class.

 

Can you think of a way to contribute to positive mental health or emotional wellness? You can take that idea and turn it into action! TODAY is the LAST DAY to fill out an application. Go to the SWHS main page to get more information about the Make A Change grant and get the link to the application. You could win $200 to help our community! Apply TODAY!

 

Class of 2025: Let’s celebrate your upcoming graduation! TODAY is the last day to order your graduation lawn sign. Bring in your form and $20 payment to the Counseling Office. 

 

Attention seniors, tomorrow, April 9th we will be collecting during all 6th period lunch waves in the cafeteria. The last in-person collection will be April 21st & 22nd.

 

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES: 

 

Young Hearts Alliance is hosting their first “Hatch a Message” fundraiser from 4/7-4/10. SWHS students and faculty can send a message and mochi toy to anyone at SWHS for just $3. Contact club advisor Senora Tobon in Room AN 54 or scan the QR code on posters located on bulletin boards around the school for more information.

 

The Environmental Club is hosting a Trees for a Change fundraiser. Have a tree planted in your name at a National Park! Each tree is $15. Money raised will benefit wildlife that has been impacted by the L.A wildfires. See Mrs. Eitel for details.
