SCHOOL NEWS: 

 

The Class of 2028 is having a fundraiser at Panera at 100 Hemlock Avenue on May 22nd from 4pm- 8pm. 

 

Attention freshman: Are you still working on your science fair research paper? Wish someone could help you with it? Stop by the Writing Center! We are open Wednesday and Thursday after school from 2-3 pm in room 125 or during period 1 on Thursday in the media center!

 

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES: 

 

The Islamic Cultural Club's last meeting of the year is on May 21st, after school in Room 105. We will be making Garlic Bread and Chocolate Chip Cookies. Sign up in Google classroom code 4f6gean. Please see Alveena Suha, Hamnah Siddiqui or Mr. Ly in room 227 if you have questions. 

 

The HOPE Club’s last meeting of the year is on May 22nd, after school in Room 207. Come learn about neurofibromatosis, practice medical skills with our new medical manikin, and learn how you can get more involved next year. Snacks will be provided. For more information, join our Google Classroom and see the flyers posted around the school.

 

The Outing Club will be hiking Devil's Hopyard State Park on Saturday, May 31st. Come on out and join us for a fun hike in the park. If you need a permission slip stop by room 254 or 264. Permission slips and payment are due Wednesday, May 21st to Ms. Andrews (264) or Mrs. Lynch (254).

 

ATHLETICS:

 

The Zebra Cup, a student/faculty tennis tournament will be held on Wednesday, May 28th at 2:45pm at the Wapping tennis courts. Everyone is welcome. Sign up in Room 132 and see Mrs. Belval with questions. 

 

Attention all Archery club members. Today on Tues 5/20 there's a scheduled meeting to head down to the front field from 2:15 to 3:30 pm. Please meet in the lobby by 2:15pm for us to go to the field together and most importantly, you will need to make plans to get a ride home afterwards since there's no late bus today. Contact Mrs. Holt in the PE office or via email with any questions.

 

Last week, Girls Track and Field won their meet against East Catholic. First place finishes were had by Julianna Mayer in 100 hurdles, Jaya Pichay in 100 and 200, Kiran Thaker in the 800 and the mile, Maddie Cunha in pole vault, Kyla Levy in long jump, Sadhana Ganesan in triple jump, Mallory Mead in javelin, Nayana Pradeep in discus and Ny'Zae Brown in shot put.
