SCHOOL NEWS:

SENIORS! We still have Senior Portrait dates on October 9th and 31st! These sittings will be held during after school hours in the School Library. There are 4 more slots available on the 9th, so sign up fast! The 31st has times from 2:45-7:45pm! The link to sign up can be found on the Yearbook tab on our school website.

The Homecoming dance will be on Friday, October 18th from 7-10pm. Tickets are $16, and can be purchased online from Tuesday, October 8th through Tuesday, October 15th. Details will be provided on your grade level Google Classroom. We will not be able to accommodate guests due to our growing enrollment. Please see Ms. Goslin in Room 233 with questions.

HLSA (Hispanic Latino Student Alliance) in collaboration with BSA (Black Student Alliance) invites you to our Hispanic Heritage Fair on Thursday, October 10th from 2:15 to 4:15 PM. This event will feature guest speakers, a gallery walk highlighting various countries, a scavenger hunt, and delicious Hispanic/Latino food and drinks. Join us in celebrating Hispanic heritage. Your presence will make this event even more meaningful.

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES:  

The South Windsor High School Cricket Club will play a friendly match against the Glastonbury High School Cricket Club this Sunday from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 75 Brookfield Street, South Windsor. Students who applied for Mu Alpha Theta should check their emails to learn if they were accepted. Accepted students must join the Mu Alpha Theta google classroom and pay their dues by Friday, Oct 4th to Mrs. Singer in Room 257. Contact Mrs. Singer with any questions.

ATHLETICS:

This Friday October 4th Girls soccer will be having their annual pink out game fundraiser. Varsity and JV will both be playing on the MPF at 3:45. There will be baked goods for sale at the game.

Auditions for the tenor/bass A Cappella ensemble “Understaffed” will be held on October 10th at 6:30 PM in the Choir Room. Join the Google classroom for audition materials and more information! See Mr. Martineau in the Choir Room for more details.

Mind's Eye, our school's literary magazine club, will be holding its first meeting of the year this Friday, October 4 in Room 129. New members are welcome!
