COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER:

Students looking for Summer jobs should stop into the Career Center for a list of local stores and restaurants who are hiring. Additionally, the Town of South Windsor Collector of Revenue is looking for help. Information on all positions will be posted on the bulletin board.

Seniors – have you shared your plans for next year? School Counseling wants to know if you have been accepted into colleges, plan to attend a community college, will enlist in the military, plan to go to a trade school or straight to work. Whatever your options and opportunities are, we want to celebrate them!  Our bulletin board in the main lobby features this, but we are looking to add more. Scan the QR code in the display to fill out your form. We will feature you on the TV screen outside School Counseling and in our monthly newsletter, and add your opportunity to the lobby board. You can also find the form in your Class of 2022 Google Classroom.

ATHLETICS:

The annual Zebra Cup Tennis Tournament is being held on Tuesday, May 17th. Students can ask Staff members to participate with them in order to raise money for the South Windsor Food Bank. The cost for a team to enter is $10, but extra donations are welcome. Sign-up sheets are located on the door of Room 204.

On Friday and Saturday Girls Track and Field competed in the Middletown Invitational, a large meet with 40 teams competing.  Sidney Montana placed 4th in the 100 meters, Reagan Heafey-DeAngelis placed 8th in the Javelin and Serena Thaker placed 9th in the 400 in the Freshman/Sophomore meet.  Maddie Hathorn tied for 9th in Pole Vault in the Varsity meet.

There will be an early return bus for Spring Sports athletes from the Senior outing on Thursday 5/26.  The bus will depart Holiday Hill at 1:30 pm to return to SWHS by 2:30 pm.  There is a mandatory sign-up sheet in the SWHS Main Office with Secretary Brie Balducci. *Note: Anyone who does sign-up in advance for the early return must be on the bus at 1:30 pm that day returning to SWHS.
