Attention Class of 2025: Check your Grade 12 Google Classroom to access the Google Form for letting us know the college acceptances or other opportunities you have for life after SWHS! The form is now available, and the Class of 2025 will be featured on the slideshow outside School Counseling and in our monthly newsletter. This form does not mean you have committed to anything. Check it out during Bobcat Block today and submit any offers you may have. You can keep filling out the form as you get new responses in the weeks ahead.

 

Hodge-Claus is coming to your lunch wave on Monday, December 16th and he’s bringing his favorite helper, Carlson the Elf. Donate $1 cash to benefit the Jimmy V Cancer Foundation and get your picture taken with these Holiday Icons. 

 

Attention Bobcat Blocks! Student Council is hosting a Bobcat Block Door Decorating Contest during our Holiday Spirit Week! The Theme is: SNOW GLOBE! The decorating period is Monday through Wednesday next week, with doors being judged on Thursday. The winning Bobcat Block will enjoy a catered breakfast after winter break! If your Bobcat Block is interested in participating in this contest, please have your BB teacher fill out the Google Form sent by Ms. Ullinger. This form must be filled out by today @ 3 pm!

 

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES: 

 

The December Cooking Club Day is Thursday,  December 19th at 2:05 PM in Room 105 at SWHS. Our theme is Holiday Baking. Please bring $5 to Sra. Ruiz in AN 56 or to Sra. Hwang in AN 37 to reserve your spot today. 

 

The 3-D Printing Club is meeting on Tuesday, December 17th after school from 2:15 to 3:00 in the library. Join us to learn about 3D print design and printing. FBLA is hosting a Holiday cookie decorating fundraiser. Entrance fee and first cookie is $5, every cookie after that is $3. 

 

Looking for last-minute holiday gifts? The Indian Heritage Awareness Club is hosting an earring fundraiser! To place an order for their handcrafted earrings, please fill out the google form, which can be found on the grade-level google classrooms and QR codes found on posters around the school. The last day to order is December 13th. We will be delivering the earrings on December 18th during Bobcat Block. Please contact Hiteshree Dirisala or Sudeeksha Sajjana with any questions.

 

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER:

 

There are upcoming visits planned to the Career Center for students seeking an alternative to college after high school. 

On Friday, December 13th – Hartford Job Corps will be here to discuss their training programs to get young adults into the workforce quickly. On Tuesday, December 17th AWP Safety will present their career track for graduates starting as flaggers in construction and working their way to supervisory roles. On Wednesday, December 18th, the Connecticut Army National Guard will be here to discuss the Guard as a military option for students to explore. These are all great opportunities that will take place during Bobcat Blocks. All our listed in Naviance – sign up today!
