SCHOOL NEWS:

 

Tomorrow is Holiday hats and socks

Thursday: Winter Wonderland - wear whites, blues and grays

Friday: Holiday Pajamas

 

The Junior Class of 2026 is hosting a fundraiser at Pokedon, 129 Deming Street, on December 18th from 5-9pm.

 

There are boxes collecting new and gently used sports equipment in the high school Lobby and Annex Main Entrance through December 18th. All equipment will be donated to local organizations that serve kids in need.

 

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES: 

 

The December Cooking Club Day is Wednesday, December 18th at 2:05 PM in Room 105 at SWHS. Our theme is Holiday Baking. Please bring $5 to Sra. Ruiz in AN 56 or to Sra. Hwang in AN 37 to reserve your spot today. 

 

The 3-D Printing Club is meeting today after school from 2:15 to 3:00 in the library. Join us to learn about 3D print design and printing. Join our Google Classroom with code: wxyyj4d. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Fielding in the Library, Ali Omer or Marissa Garvey.

 

The HOPE club will host a blood drive on Saturday, January 4th. Appointment times are available from 8am to 1pm. Must be 17 years or older; 16-year-olds can donate with a parent permission slip. This drive is open to the public, so tell your parents, friends, and neighbors. Sign up with the QR Code posted around the school. To pick up a 16-year-old permission slip or ask any questions, see Ms. Karasinski in Room 207.

 

Join the Jewish American Heritage Club Thursday December 19th at 2:15 in Room 105. We will decorate cookies, play dreidel, and more! Join the google classroom with code bofyc7h, or see Mrs. Rafalowsky in Room 104.

 

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER:

 

Just a reminder that AWP Safety will talk to students about the opportunities they have for starting careers in construction as flaggers and working their way to supervisory roles. On December 18th,  the Connecticut Army National Guard will be here to discuss the Guard as another option for students. Come to the Career Center for either of these presentations.
