SCHOOL NEWS: 

 

Visit the Library to view the incredible Student Charcoal Art Exhibit currently on display. New book displays include: Women's History Month, March Basketball Madness, It's Not Easy Being Green, and as always, many new fiction and nonfiction titles.

 

Are you ready to explore the exciting world of STEM? Join us on March 14th from 6 PM to 8 PM at TE for our STEM Night! This evening is dedicated to increasing interest and confidence in STEM careers for your curious minds. There will be engaging activities and the chance to meet STEM professionals, including doctors, geologists, environmental scientists, biologists, software engineers, and more.

 

CLUBS AND ACTIVITIES: 

 

FBLA’ s 3 on 3 basketball tournament is on March 14th in the Main Gym. Be sure to sign up during lunch waves or in Annex Room 15.

 

FBLA is hosting a Muscular Dystrophy Association fundraiser now through March 14th.  Purchase a shamrock from an FBLA member. 

 

Do you want to see a teacher get pied? Even more, do you want to pie them yourself? In honor of Pi Day, the Math Honor Society will give you a chance to do just that! Pay $1 for a ticket to vote for a teacher to get pied, or you can pay $1 to enter your name to be the one to pie the winner. Support Pi Day fun during all lunch waves from Thursday, March 6-Wednesday March 12. Then stay tuned to the video announcements on Pi Day, March 14th.

 

The Strategy Club will resume regular meetings on Monday, March 10.  We will be running an assortment of role-playing games, board games, and Magic the Gathering. New members are always welcome! Visit our website or join our Google Classroom for more information using the code: bb3btdn

 

We’re excited to launch the SW Investing Club, a place to explore the stock market, personal finance, and smart investing strategies—whether you're a beginner or already have some experience. Our meetings will feature engaging discussions, guest speakers, global competitions, and hands-on activities to help you develop real-world financial skills.

Join us for our first meeting on March 13th in Room 163 after school. For more details, contact Mr. Richards.

 

If you are interested in saving three lives, please consider signing up to donate blood on Friday, March 21 during school. Every donation counts. To sign up, scan the QR Code on the posters around school. You must be 17 or older, or 16 with a parent permission slip to donate. See Ms. Karasinski in Room 207 for more information.

 

The next Italian Club Meeting will be Thursday, March 13th right after school in Annex Room 35. We will be playing Italian card and board games and having snacks, too. Grab a friend and come join us.  

 

Come join the Jewish American Heritage Club for our Purim meeting where we will be making and baking our very own hamantashan on Thursday 3/13  in room 105 at 2:15. See Mrs. Rafalowsky in room 104 with any questions.

 

ATHLETICS:

 

Spring Sports registration is now open. If you plan on trying out for a spring sport, please be sure to register online. Registration is not complete until you have submitted the online registration, a valid physician statement and the pay-for-play fee. Registration deadline is March 12th. Late registrations are not guaranteed to be processed in time for tryouts. See Mrs. Zaino or Mrs. McLaughlin with any questions.
