Hodge-Claus is coming to your lunch wave on Monday, December 16th and he’s bringing his favorite helper, Carlson the Elf. Donate $1 cash to benefit the Jimmy V Cancer Foundation and get your picture taken with these Holiday Icons.
There are boxes collecting new and gently used sports equipment in the high school Lobby and Annex Main Entrance through December 18th. All equipment will be donated to local organizations that serve kids in need.
There are pet supply donation boxes in the Cafeteria and Annex lobby now thru December 16th. Donations will benefit Our Companions Animal Rescue in Manchester.

We aim to provide clean and safe water across villages in Sub-Saharan Africa by working with and fundraising for The Water Project, a non-profit organization. We will be selecting leadership positions and deciding on our fundraisers for this year.
The December Cooking Club Day is Thursday, December 19th at 2:05 PM in Room 105 at SWHS. Our theme is Holiday Baking. Please bring $5 to Sra. Ruiz in AN 56 or to Sra. Hwang in AN 37 to reserve your spot today. Hurry, there are only 20 spots maximum and they fill up quickly.

Homerooms will compete to earn points based on money raised and PJ attire and accessories worn on Friday December 6th. The homeroom with the highest points will win a pizza party and the homeroom teacher wins duty coverage for one period. Check out your grade level google classrooms and posters around the building for point values. Good luck!

It will be a dress rehearsal (bring your traditional Japanese clothing) and practice for the presentation. SCHOOL NEWS:
Friday, December 6th is CT Children’s Medical Center Pajama Day for the KIDS! This year the SWHS Interact Club is challenging you and your homeroom to compete in our 2nd annual PJ Palooza! We ask students and teachers to donate at least one dollar and earn points for specific pj attire including pj pants, matching pj outfit, slippers, bathrobes, sleep stuffies, etc. Teachers, you can participate too! Bonus points will be awarded to homerooms with participating teachers. Points will also be awarded for specific monetary amounts that homerooms can collectively raise. Each grade level will have a winning homeroom with prizes including a student pizza party and duty coverage for the winning homeroom teacher by an SWHS admin! Please review PJ Palooza posters around the school for the official point breakdown. All funds raised go to CCMCs efforts to end childhood cancer.

Whether you’re planning to go to college, a vocational school, or the Military, or you’re just not sure what you want to do yet, the ASVAB CEP can provide you with important information about your skills and interests -- and help get you on the right path toward a satisfying career. Due to the limited number of seats available, registration is first come, first serve. The test is open to all students in grades 10-12.
