Holiday Spirit Week is next week! The themes for each day are as follows:
Monday, December 17: Ugly Sweater Day, please bring a canned good.
Tuesday, December 18: Wear your festive holiday hats and socks.
Wednesday, December 19: Flannel Day to support South Windsor For The Kids - please bring in $2 if you want to participate and help raise funds for a great cause.
Thursday, December 20: Be creative and dress as your favorite holiday character.
Friday, December 21: Pajama Day and remember it’s a 1/2 day to start the holiday break.

The SADD Club will be honoring December 14 with SADD Makes You Happy Day. The day was created 3 years ago to help share kindness to all students and staff. Please wear GREEN on Friday to show your support!

Come celebrate the season with the Band and Orchestra Concerts THIS week. Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will perform tonight, December 12 at 6:30 pm. Chamber Orchestra and String Orchestra will perform on Thursday, December 13 at 7:00 pm. General admission tickets will be available online and at the door for $5.00.

There will be a Student Council meeting Thursday, December 13 at 2:10 pm in room 163. 

Applying to UConn? Applications are due and must be submitted to the UConn admissions Office by January 15. Students should submit transcript request forms to the School Counseling Department by December 21.

There is a winter accessories clothing drive going on now through December 21. All gently or new clothing and accessories, such as hats, gloves, and jackets, are appreciated. There will be donation boxes in the South Windsor Community Center and here at the high school.

Cooking Club: We will be crafting our December menu today, December 12 after school in room 105. Officers are required to attend, but anyone can help us in this planning meeting. Any questions? See Ms. Cliff or Sra. Ruiz.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors: The CATS club is receiving applications for the 2019-2020 school year. If you are interested in an opportunity to work closely with your peers, lead, and mentor new students, please consider applying! Applications can be picked up in the main office and are due Friday, December 14.

The Strategy Club will meet Thursday, December 13 after school in room 7.

School Counseling and the Career Center will kick-off scholarship season with an information session on Tuesday, December 18 at 2:00 pm in the auditorium. Additionally, there will be drop-in hours in the Career Center all day on Wednesday and Thursday, December 19 and 20. Counselors will be available to help you understand the scholarship process better. No appointments are needed. Come during any free periods or your lunch wave.

The Science Fiction/Fantasy Club will hold its next meeting next Thursday, December 20 in room 127 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Join us to work on your own creative writing. We will also take our club picture for the yearbook at this meeting.

Athletic News:

All girls on the volleyball team who did not attend the team banquet on Monday, should see Coach Holt in the women's PE office to pick up their awards. Any questions, see your coach.
