It’s Holiday Spirit Week!
Tomorrow, don’t forget to wear your festive holiday hats and socks!
On Wednesday, December 19, it’s Flannel Day to support South Windsor For The Kids. Please bring in $2 if you want to participate in this day and help raise funds for a great cause.
Thursday, December 20 you can be creative and dress as your favorite holiday character.
Friday, December 21 is Pajama Day and don’t forget, it is a 1/2 day to start the holiday break.

Looking for a contemporary fiction novel to read over break? The Book Club will be reading Made You Up by Francesca Zappia and will meet on Monday, January 10 to discuss. New members are welcome! For more information, see Mrs. Busa in Room 100.

The Cooking Club invites you to an afternoon of festive holiday treats and cozy comfort foods. On Wednesday, December 19, we'll be making mac and cheese, baked potato soup with toppings, gingerbread cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, and so much more. Bring $5 to Ms. Cliff or Sra. Ruiz to reserve your spot!

There will be a member of the United States Marines here to discuss the NROTC Scholarship program on Tuesday, December 18 at 1:00 pm. NROTC stands for Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps. If you are interested in finding out how this type of military scholarship can help pay for your college education, sign up in Naviance to attend this visit. School Counseling and the Career Center will kick-off scholarship season with an information session on Tuesday, December 18 at 2:00 pm in the auditorium. Additionally, there will be drop-in hours in the Career Center all day on Wednesday and Thursday, December 19 and 20. Counselors will be available to help you understand the scholarship process better. No appointments are needed. Come during any free periods or your lunch wave.

The Coolidge Scholarship program is open for this year. This highly selective scholarship is for JUNIORS only. If selected, recipients will receive a full-ride scholarship for four years of undergraduate study to any American college or university. The application deadline is Wednesday, January 23. Information can be found in Naviance or at www.CoolidgeScholars.org.

The Science Fiction/Fantasy Club will hold its next meeting this Thursday, December 20 in room 127 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Join us to work on your own creative writing. We will also take our club picture for the yearbook at this meeting.
