The Writing Center is now accepting applications for writing tutors for the 2019-2020 school year. This is a great opportunity for any students who like to write and who enjoy helping people. See your English teacher for more information or for an application. Applications are due by April 1.

There will be a Travel Club Meeting for Students and parents on Wednesday, March 20 in the SWHS Cafeteria at 6:00 pm. Please contact Sra. Ruiz if you cannot attend.

There will be a Meet and Greet for all Travel Club members travelling to Spain and Italy on Thursday, March 21 at 2:05 pm in room 233. Please see Sra. Ruiz if you cannot attend.

NHS is running a Prom Dress Drive until March 23. People can bring their gently used prom dresses and accessories to the Community Center. 

The Freshman Class of 2022 is holding a fundraiser at a local ice cream shop on Tuesday, March 19 from 4:00 - 9:30 pm at 301 Evergreen Way.

Anyone interested in getting out for a hike? Join the Outing Club on Sunday, March 31 to hike Ragged Mountain. Permission slips can be picked up in room 254 or 234C. Permission slips and payment are due by Friday, March 22. See Ms. Andrews or Mrs. Lynch with any questions. 

Any Senior who still needs to present their Capstone project, the next wave of presentations will be on Wednesday, March 27. To sign up to present, please fill out the Google Form located off of the Capstone webpage or in Mr. Richard's and Ms. Walsh's Capstone Google Classroom. Please sign up ASAP to ensure you get a time slot.  

11th graders- are you interested in serving on the State of Connecticut Board of Education? This highly coveted position would have you working with State of Connecticut political leaders in helping shape and develop educational policies and lend a student perspective to lawmakers. These state level meetings take place one Wednesday a month in Hartford for the entire school day. See Mr. Wry in Guidance if interested. 

Even though Dollars for Scholars has ended, there are still several scholarship opportunities in Naviance and they are being updated daily. Continue to check the scholarship database and watch the white board outside the Career Center for featured scholarships.

Gateway Community College is having an open house on Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Tour facilities, meet professors, and learn all about academic opportunities and activities. Visit gatewayct.edu for more information.

Boys Tennis Tryouts Will Run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at Magic Lincer Tennis Club, 404 West Center Street in Manchester from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. Your physical needs to be on file in order for you to tryout. You must bring a racquet and tennis sneakers.

All Spring athletes who are Freshman, Juniors and new players that have not yet played a fall or winter sport this year MUST report to Room 234 A/B at SWHS at the times assigned below:
