All Seniors who have not presented their Capstone Project, must sign up this week in order to present on Wednesday, March 27. Failure to present your Capstone Project on March 27 could result in loss of Senior Privileges and Activities. To sign up, please go to the Capstone website, located off of the SWHS Homepage and fill out the Google Form. Questions or concerns, stop in to room 163 or Social Studies office to see Mr. Richards or Ms. Walsh.

Juniors interested in applying for State Police Week may get an application from Dr. LaRochelle in the School Counseling Office.

The Writing Center is now accepting applications for writing tutors for the 2019-2020 school year. This is a great opportunity for any students who like to write and who enjoy helping people. See your English teacher for more information or for an application. Applications are due by April 1.

Any student who requested Music Theory, AP Music Theory, or Music Through The Ages for next year should come to the Career Center on Thursday during Homeroom for a special informational meeting.  Please see Mr. Martineau in the music department or Mr. Wry in Guidance with any questions.

There will be a Travel Club Meeting for students and parents on Wednesday, March 20 in the SWHS Cafeteria at 6:00 pm.  Please contact Sra. Ruiz if you cannot attend.

There will be a Meet and Greet for all Travel Club members travelling to Spain and Italy on Thursday, March 21 at 2:05 pm in room 233.  Please see Sra. Ruiz if you cannot attend.

NHS is running a Prom Dress Drive until March 23. People can bring their gently used prom dresses and accessories to the Community Center. 

Anyone interested in getting out for a hike? Join the Outing Club on Sunday, March 31 to hike Ragged Mountain. Permission slips can be picked up in room 254 or 234C. Permission slips and payment are due by Friday, March 22. See Ms. Andrews or Mrs. Lynch with any questions. 

11th graders: Are you interested in serving on the State of Connecticut Board of Education? This highly coveted position would have you working with State of Connecticut political leaders in helping shape and develop educational policies and lend a student perspective to lawmakers. These state level meetings take place one Wednesday a month in Hartford for the entire school day. See Mr. Wry in Guidance if interested. 

Gateway Community College is having an open house on Saturday, April 6 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Tour facilities, meet professors, and learn all about academic opportunities and activities. Visit gatewayct.edu for more information.
