Attention all students: the SWHS Writing Center is now open and ready for business! Our student tutors can help you with any writing assignment, including papers, lab reports, and college essays, and are available after school Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, as well as during select class periods, in the Media Center. See your English teacher for details or look for one of our posted schedules. We're looking forward to helping you!
Today's college visits include Eastern CT State University at 11:00am in the Media Center Seminar Room and University of Rhode Island at 1:00pm in the Career Center. Tomorrow we welcome representatives from Yale University and University of Southern California. Please note that a new visit has just been added for Thursday - the Mass. College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences will be here at 9:00am that morning!
The Envirothon Team will be meeting on Thursday to provide any interested students with a description of what this outdoor competition team is all about. If you are interested in wildlife, forestry, aquatic organisms, or soils then this competition team is for you. Come to Room 206 after school on Thursday to learn about this unique team. Space is limited. See Mrs. Eitel or Mrs. Davies with any questions.

South Windsor for the Kids will be raising money for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center at the field hockey game today at 3:45pm and at a local fast food restaurant on Sullivan Ave from 5:00-8:00pm this Thursday. Please stop by and support!
SADD will be meet tomorrow morning at 7:00am in the back of the Media Center. All are welcome.
Reminder…there will be an informational TECH CREW meeting directly after school today in Room 144 for the fall musical, "Annie," and the following shows. Bring a friend; there'll be snacks. If you can't make it, pop into Mrs. White's room during the school day next week.
Athletic News:
-The girls’ volleyball team hosted cross town rival Rockville at Home last night winning 2 of the 3 matches. The freshmen team lost 2-0, JV won 2-0 after a comeback in game one, and Varsity won 3-0. The team will travel to Bloomfield Wednesday night. Best of luck to the team and we hope to see you there!
