Prom ticket sales end on Friday, April 5.  You must have a guest form approved by administration and turned in to Mrs. Hasler in room 250 prior to purchasing a ticket for that guest.  Any tickets purchased for guests without approved guest forms will be refunded and those tickets will be available for purchase to anyone.  Please make sure you have these forms submitted prior to purchasing the ticket.  Also, tickets are NONTRANSFERRABLE and NONREFUNDABLE.  You cannot sell your tickets to someone else and tickets cannot be refunded so finalize your plans prior to purchasing your tickets.

Mind's Eye will be having a Coffee House TONIGHT, April 4 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  Come listen to or share your writing or music while enjoying food and good company.  $1 donation is appreciated.

The Strategy Club will meet TODAY, Thursday, April 4 after school in room 7. 

FBLA will meet TODAY, Thursday, April 4 at 2:00 pm in room 126. 

The Science Fiction / Fantasy club will hold one meeting in April, which will be Monday, April 15, the day we return from April break.  Join us in room 127 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm to watch and discuss Maze Runner.

Attention all tech crew: It's time for tech crew to assemble for the spring play, Game of Tiaras. Please report to the auditorium on Tuesday, April 16 at 2:00 pm to meet with Mrs. White.

Seniors:  There is a new group of scholarships with April deadlines waiting for you in Naviance!  Highlights include: 
- NEACAC scholarship
- ECHN scholarship for students pursuing health fields
- South Windsor Little League’s awards for students who are former players
- The brand new William Perry scholarship exclusively for a South Windsor student who has achieved academic success while being a student leader
- JE Shepard award from the Jaycees for students who embody integrity and spirit in their community.  
- South Windsor Soccer Club for former players
- CHESLA scholarship for students with high financial need and at least a 2.5 GPA who will attend college or a training program in Connecticut
- Marcella Masinda Scholarship, specifically for a South Windsor High School student and based on an essay submission.

Juniors: Are you interested in serving on the State of Connecticut Board of Education?  This highly coveted position would have you working with State of Connecticut political leaders in helping shape and develop educational policies and lend a student perspective to lawmakers.  These state level meetings take place one Wednesday a month in Hartford for the entire school day.  See Mr. Wry in Guidance if interested.

Athletic News:

Dance Team try-outs will be held on Thursday, April 18 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in the SWHS rubber room.

Boys Tennis opened their season against Daniel Hand, their toughest opponent.  Although the team lost the match, there was great tennis and it gave the players the opportunity to see the type of competition that they would face at the state tournament.  The team has another home match today against Newington at 3:45 pm.  Come out and support the team as they look for their first win of the season!!
