Congratulations to Marlena Klien, Dan Savidge, Zachary Manfredi, Dhanush Kotumraju, Emma Sansom, and Lauren Cobb for their excellent performance this weekend at the Quinnipiac University Coding Competition.  They did an awesome job representing South Windsor High School's Computer Science classes.

National Honors Society is hosting an AP Exam review after school in the cafeteria on Wednesday, May 1.  Join for some studying, snacks will be provided!

Attention AP test takers:  If anyone did not complete the AP pre-administration, please attend one of the make-up sessions either today at 2:05 pm in the Career Center or on Wednesday, May 1 at 1:05 pm in the Career Center.

Anyone interested in running for Student Council office should come to a meeting on Thursday, May 2 in Room 163 after school.  Ms. Ullinger will be talking about the election process.  

The Gardening Club is holding their first meeting after school today, April 30 in room 204. Join to help de-stress, have fun, and plant flowers around the school. Contact Joanne Biju or Armina Sarin for any questions. 

Students nominated for the Common Ground leadership workshop are reminded that permission slips are due today, April 30.  See Ms. Lane in room 6 with any questions.

Seniors: Reminder that the Marsella Macinda Scholarship application is due to the Career Center by Friday, May 3.  Also, please note that the Class of 1969 Scholarship has been cancelled and no scholarship will be handed out.  If you previously picked up an application, please disregard it and do not fill it out or hand it in.  Sorry for the change in status. There are still other scholarships listed in Naviance.

The Science Fiction/Fantasy club will hold its next meeting on Thursday, May 2 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm in room 127.  Join us to watch and discuss Stardust.

If you're a senior, please consider submitting an original poem to the Grad Poem Contest.  Write a poem that you will be read at the Graduation Ceremony.  Please submit your work to Ms. Pieratti or Ms. White by Friday, May 10 for consideration of this great honor. 

The Handball Tournament, sponsored by FBLA, will be on May 10 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.  Gather a group of friends and come on down!  The teams will consist of 6 people and the charge for each team member is $5.00. Each team will cost $30.00. Prizes will be handed out for the 1st place team winners.  Sign-ups will be in the cafe during lunch next week.  Any questions see Mrs. Barrett.

A local medical office has an immediate opening for a student in the Class of 2020 to assist with administrative tasks.  The job offers after school and summer hours and is ideal for a motivated student who is interested in the health care field.  Please come to the Career Center for more information and details on how to apply.  There is a flyer posted on the job board.

Athletic News:

Any student interested in operating the score board in the press box at Rotary Field for the remaining home varsity baseball games should see Athletic Director, Dave Sytulek.  Training will he provided to interested students.
