Have you wanted to improve your leadership skills?  Take part in a Leadership Greater Hartford workshop here at South Windsor High School in the Seminar Room on May 24.  This will be an interactive workshop that will introduce you to the five practices of exemplary leadership and the Common Ground program.  See Ms. Lane in room 6 for a permission slip or with any questions.  Space is limited and permission slips must be in by this Friday, May 10.

Hey Bobcat Foodies!  Join us for a Cooking Club planning meeting after school Wednesday in room 105.  We will be crafting our last menu of the year, featuring summer eats and cool treats.  Our last cooking session will be next Wednesday after school, so bring in your $5 to Ms. Cliff or Sra. Ruiz to reserve your spot!

Want to have a fun afternoon with friends?  Come to the next Unity Club meeting on Monday, May 6 in the School Counseling Career Center for some fun, games and snacks. 

For those students who attended the UConn ECE Assembly in the Auditorium, but did not receive an ECE Application, please visit School Counseling, as they have received more from UConn.  The application due date is June 7.

Seniors:  please consider submitting an original poem to the Grad Poem Contest.  Write a poem that you will be read at the Graduation Ceremony.  Please submit your work to Ms. Pieratti or Ms. White by Friday, May 10 for consideration of this great honor. 

Athletic News:

Girls’ Tennis played against Glastonbury last Friday, winning their match 6-1.  Singles Caitlin Sze, Sophia Chin and Sam Donovan had great matches, and although Heather Kim lost her match, she was persistent and did a fantastic job!  Doubles Leah Polansky and Jia Yazon, as well as Jina Lee and Caitlin Sauer swiftly won their matches. D3, Rebecca Kenefick and Ananya Srivatsav had a close match but came out strong.

Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse defeated Avon 15-4.  They will take on Conard at 4:30 pm away on Monday.

Coach Duclos got his 200th lacrosse game win on Friday! Congratulations Mr. Duclos!
