Bobcat Pride presents Spirit Week this week!  TOMORROW, May 24 - Freedom Friday (red, white, blue).  Dress up and show your spirit!

Attention students:  The library will be closed Friday, May 24 for Junior-Senior panel presentations from 7:25 am to 2:00 pm.  The library will be open before and after school.  Please plan accordingly. 

All students in Algebra II with Trig CP and Honors who have satisfied the Manchester Community College program requirements, should report to the cafeteria on Wednesday, May 29 at 7:25 am with a fully charged Chromebook and charger to take the Math Accuplacer test.  If you have questions regarding this exam, or your qualification, please talk to either your School Counselor or your Algebra II with Trig teacher.

Are you interested in trying out for next year's musical, 9 to 5?  The auditions are next Tuesday, May 28 and Wednesday, May 29 after school.  Sign up in the English Hallway.  We need your singing, dancing and acting skills.  There are lots of great parts!

Central Connecticut State University will host the National Summer Transportation Institute Program from July 15 to 26.  This is a full-day program to stimulate interest in careers in the transportation industry such as highway design, transportation of people and cargo, inter-modal operations, laws, regulations, and safety.  There will also be enrichment activities such as SAT prep, computer training, field trips, and hands-on projects.  A limited number of spaces are available.  To learn more, see the flyer hanging in the Career Center or check out the Enrichment activities through the Colleges tab in Naviance.

The Cox Cable Advisory Council Scholarship deadline has been extended until June 1.  If you are a senior planning to pursue a career in any communications field, take advantage of this opportunity!  A link to the application is in Naviance.

Many young girls in Southwest Asia are unable to attend school due to various reasons, including a lack of school supplies.  To help these girls get the education they deserve, school supplies will be collected throughout this week.  Donations can include: notebooks, glue sticks, rulers, erasers, pencils and pens.  Donations can be placed in boxes outside the cafeteria, and in the lower pendulum.  Thank you!

Mrs. Belval’s Allied Health Class is hosting a Hat Drive!  All hats are being donated to cancer patients at CT Children’s Medical Center.  Hats must be brand new and have the tags still attached.  The event is running until May 27.  Please bring the hats to Mrs. Belval’s room, 204 in the science hallway.

The Italian Club will have its final meeting of the year after school on Monday, June 10.  We will be playing bocce and eating pizza, a nice way to de-stress before finals.  Please bring $5 to Mrs. Zaccardelli in room 226.  All are welcome!

Athletic News:

The Boys Tennis Team closed out the final match of the regular season with a convincing 7-0 win over East Catholic.  Congrats to Singles players: Ronnak Saxena, Jack Perry, Elijah Wood and Rahul Mahesh and Doubles Teams: Sam Kim & Donny Sauer, Jonathan Huot & Jason Rickenbacher and Andris Reba & Dan Zhu.  The team had an excellent season with a final record of 11 wins and 5 losses.  The Class L State Tournament starts Friday in East Hartford where the team will be competing in both singles and doubles.  Great Job Bobcats and Best of Luck in the tournament!
