Do you love arguing? Are you good at defending yourself? Join the SWHS Mock Trial Team. Come to our first meeting on Monday, September 9th after school in room 161 for an introduction to the competition and to learn how Mock Trial works.

Students interested in participating in Model UN this year should come to the first meeting after school on Wednesday, September 11th in the back of the Media Center. Please see Ms. Simcik or Mr. Richards if you have any questions. 

The Teens Against Poverty is a new club this year at SWHS, helping end poverty in the local area. Join this great community service opportunity on Wednesday, September 11th in Room 141 for the first meeting. At the first informational meeting, we will discuss how the club functions and all the opportunities you have to participate. There will be snacks. If you are not able to make the meeting, please use google classroom code: glqjpu7, in advance to join the Google classroom.

Are you interested in joining the school's largest club? How about helping out your community? Consider joining the Interact Club, South Windsor High School's community service organization. Our first meeting for new and returning members will be held Thursday, September 12th from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. in the Seminar Room. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Howard in room 134.

The History Club will be having their first meeting on Wednesday, September 11 at 2:10 p.m. in room 156. See Ms. Battaglio in room 156 with any questions.  

The Sexuality and Gender Alliance, formerly known as the GSA, will hold its first meeting of the year on Monday, September 16th, at 2:00 p.m. in room 148.  If you are someone who cares about celebrating and honoring our diverse community, please join us! You do not have to identify as someone from the LGBTQ community to attend -- all allies are welcome. We have many exciting events planned for this year, so come on down to room 148 for some snacks and good conversation and check it out. See Mrs. Stodd Knapp in 148 with any questions.

The Common Ground Leadership Program is now accepting applications. Any students interested in improving leadership skills, community service and working on their college resume, should join the Google classroom with code ujgro3c or see Mr. Orsini in room 229. The deadline for all applications is September 20th.

FCCLA is for you if one of the following applies:
You love to cook. You love to bake. You love to sew. You love to design clothing. You love working with children. You are a leader. Or...you need to build your resume! Stop by Wapping room 11 on September 19th for pizza and to see what FCCLA is all about. A club signup list will be posted outside Mrs. Booth's door.

The first Student Council meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, September 24th at 2:05 p.m. in room 166.  All members and new students interested in joining are welcome.  Please attend to learn more about our goals for this year.

Do you want to volunteer in a river clean-up this year? Do you want to spread environmental awareness to the community and local politicians? Everyone with any environmental knowledge, background, or interest is welcome to join Environmental Club’s first meeting next Thursday, September 19th at 2:00 p.m. in room 206. The Ski and Snowboard Club meeting will be held on Monday, September 23rd at 2:05 p.m. in room 152. Email Ms. Phillips for details if you cannot attend.
