The first Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 25th at 7:00 a.m. in the Seminar Room. The SADD Club promotes good choices through education, activities and prevention initiatives. New and returning members are welcome! If you have questions, please see Mr. Peters in school counseling or Mrs. Rafalowsky in room 112. 

Attention all students who were ACTIVE members of the SADD Club last year: If you are interested in applying to be a leader within SADD for the 2019-20 school year, then you should pick up a leadership application packet in the school counseling office. The application must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20th. Please see Mr. Peters in the School Counseling office or Mrs. Rafalowsky in Room 112 if you need more information about these exciting leadership opportunities.

If you are interested in Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Rice University, or The University of Chicago, these schools are teaming up to present “Exploring Education Excellence”. Admissions Counselors from all five schools will hold an informational evening at the Hartford Marriott Downtown on Wednesday, September 25th at 7:00 p.m. To register, visit exploringeducationalexcellence.org

For Grade 11 and 12 students who have successfully applied to the UConn ECE program, the enrollment deadline is Monday, September 30th at 5:00 p.m. Enrolling means to use your Net ID in the SAS system to pick your course. If you have any questions, or need help, please see Mr. Wry in Guidance.

The Future Health Professionals (formerly called HOSA) will be having an informational meeting of the year after school on Monday, September 23rd in room 204. This club is for anyone interested in a career in the medical field or healthcare. We explore different fields and interests and have guest speakers come in to talk about their career experiences. See Mrs. Belval in Room 204 for more information and join our Google Classroom with the code k1ewe8e.

Attention Freshmen:  Elections for Class Officers for the Class of 2023 will be held on Wednesday, October 16th. If you are interested in running for President, Vice-President, Secretary or Treasurer please see Mrs. Barrett in Room 122 for the forms. 

The first Italian Club meeting will be Monday, September 23rd, right after school in room 226. We will be taking a picture for the yearbook, electing some leaders, and choosing what we do for our meetings this year. Join our google classroom at 5dwflq.

Hey Bobcats foodies! Our first menu is a tribute to autumn flavors and cozy comfort food. Join us as we make chicken pot pie, cheesy fries and nachos, mac and cheese balls, pumpkin glazed donuts, churro apple pies and so much more. Bring $5 to Ms. Cliff or Sra Ruiz in advance to reserve your seat at the table.  

Mount Holyoke College will have a representative in the Career Center today at 12:45 p.m. Monday will be a BIG day of visits – Dartmouth, Muhlenberg, Eastern and Central will all be here to tell you about their programs and answer your questions. Take advantage of these great opportunities and sign up in Naviance. See Mrs. Carty if you have any questions about college visits or applications.

Do you love learning about language and culture? Join Spanish Club! You will learn about a different Spanish-Speaking country every meeting, once a month, and there will always be fun activities and a chance to meet new people! Old and new members are welcome to attend our first meeting on September 25th in room 231 to learn about our country of the month: Costa Rica! There will be food!
