Mind's Eye will host a Holiday Coffee House TONIGHT, Wednesday, December 11th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Seminar Room. Join us for a night of poetry, music, and more. Refreshments will be available for a suggested $1 donation. Hope to see you there.

Come join us to see the SWHS Winter Instrumental Concerts. The Winter Orchestra Concert will be held TONIGHT, Wednesday, December 11th at 7:00 p.m. in the SWHS Auditorium. The Winter Band Concert will be held TOMORROW, Thursday, December 12th at 6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. Tickets are $5 and are sold online or at the door. Open to the public.

The Strategy Club will meet Thursday, December 12th after school. We will be taking a photo for yearbook at this meeting as well.

KFC? Japan? Christmas? Is there a link? We will learn how KFC has become a strange Japanese Christmas tradition. The Japanese Club will meet this Thursday, December 12th after school in room 230. 

Interact's December meeting will be this Thursday, December 12th at 2:05 p.m. in the Seminar Room. We will have a guest speaker and sign ups. We hope to see you there. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Howard in room 134.

Seniors: Do you need time to work on your college essay? How about Capstone? Come to our Senior write-in this Friday, December 13th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in room 134. We will have writing tutors and snacks! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Pieratti or Mrs. Howard.

The SADD Club will be sharing "SADD Makes You Happy Day" with everyone at the high school on Friday, December 13th. Lots of random acts of kindness will happen throughout the day to remind all of us that small, thoughtful gestures do make a difference! We hope that you enjoy the day and make an effort to share kindness in your own life.  

Attention Seniors who speak another language at home! If you would like to test for the Seal of Biliteracy, please see Mrs. Stoj in office 227A for more information by Thursday, January 2nd. 

The next Italian Club meeting will be Monday, December 16th right after school in room 105. We'll be making various pasta dishes, appetizers, salad, garlic bread, and dessert. Space is limited so bring $5 to Mrs. Zaccardelli in room 226 to save a spot. 

The Sophomore Class of 2022 is selling maroon and gold bracelets this week during all lunch waves. They cost $6 and they have been selling quickly, so get yours soon.

Mrs. Clifford’s field trip to Wadsworth Atheneum and State House Square on Friday, December 13th has been cancelled.

Scholarship season is underway! There are a number of opportunities, but students are encouraged to check out the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Scholarship program. The application portal for their largest group of scholarships is now open until Wednesday, January 15th. Fill out one application to be considered for over 70 scholarships. You can find the link in Naviance. Other nationwide scholarships to consider are the GE Reagan Foundation and the Ron Brown Scholarships Program. All of these programs can be found in Naviance. There will be a meeting for all returning and new players interested in playing baseball this season on Wednesday, December 18th after school in room 161. If there are any questions, please see or email Mr. D'Amato.
