Students: Naviance has changed its sign in process. When you visit Naviance through the SWHS website, you can now log in with your standard network username and password using Clever. Clever is a company that manages multiple websites using one exterior sign in page. Click on the CLEVER button at the bottom of the page, select SWHS, and enter your network username and password. Please visit Mrs. Carty in the Career Center with any questions. (Note: The parent Naviance login process will not change at this time.)

A local medical office is looking for a mature and responsible student in the Class of 2021 to work 8-12 hours per week after school with additional hours available over the summer. This is a clerical position including filing, photocopying, placing appointment reminder calls and other tasks, but students who have an interest in the healthcare field will benefit from seeing how a medical offices works and are encouraged to apply. A flyer is hanging in the Career Center with details and information on how to apply.

The application process is now open for the Future Law Enforcement Youth Academy (FLEYA). Students 16 years to 18 years old who are enrolled in a Connecticut high school may apply, but students graduating in 2020 are NOT eligible. The camp runs from July 26th through August 1st at the Yale University campus, where students will stay for the week. A link to the application is in the Enrichment Programs listed in Naviance.

The Strategy Club will meet Thursday, February 27th after school in room 7. New members are welcome.

Bobcat foodies, the Cooking Club celebrates the most important meal of the day with Mimosa Mocktails, Strawberry Cream Cheese-Stuffed French Toast, and Cinnamon Bun Pancakes! Or, are you a chocoholic?  Don't miss our chocolate lava cakes, dirt cake, and so much more! Bring $5 to Ms. Cliff or Sra. Ruiz -- you won't regret it! We cook on Wednesday, February 26th in room 105.

Mind's Eye will be hosting a Coffee House this Thursday, February 27th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Media Center. Join us for food, music, poetry, and more. All are welcome.

Seniors: the following South Windsor Dollars for Scholars scholarships have less than typical interest thus far, please consider applying to: The Borelli Scholarship is for seniors looking to major in elementary or early education - this scholarship can truly make the difference between living on campus and commuting. The SW Superintendent’s Manchester Community College scholarship and The Jeff Czapala Unified Sports and/or Unified Theater scholarship. Please see Mrs. Carty in the Career Center with any questions.

Athletic News:

Anyone interested in trying out for the Boys’ Golf team should attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 26th after school in room 168. Please see Mr. Gray in room 168 if you have any questions or can’t attend.

Any girls interested in Outdoor Track and Field who have not participated in High School Track before or are new to the sport, should attend an informational meeting on either Thursday, February 27th or Wednesday, March 4th after school from 2:00 - 2:30 p.m. in room 127.  See Coach McCullough in room 127 with any questions.
