The SWHS football team will be playing a home game at 11:00am tomorrow against Southington. Student Council has planned a Food Drive to go along with the football game. Admission is free for students who bring in 2 canned goods to the entrance; adults get in free with 4 canned goods. Please help spread the word to the rest of the South Windsor community, and let's collect as many canned goods as possible for families in need in our community! Thank you!

The American Mathematics Contest is a national competition involving challenging math problems that we will be administering in February to all students who are interested. The AMC is a contest consisting of 25 challenging multiple-choice problems involving a variety of mathematics.  Students may not use calculators on the exams.  There are two exams: the AMC 10, given to 9th and 10th graders, and the AMC 12 (which requires some higher-level mathematics), given to 11th and 12th graders.  Signups for the AMC will happen over the next couple of weeks in math classes. For students who are interested in taking the AMC or want to explore more before signing up, we will be offering practice AMC 10 and 12 tests in the cafeteria this Monday, November 13, after school in the cafeteria.  Bring a pencil and your mind!  You may also bring a ruler, protractor, and compass if you wish.  No signups are necessary, just meet in the cafeteria by 2:15pm.  The test will start by 2:30pm, and will finish by 3:45pm, followed by a scoring, presentation of solutions, and awards.  If you have any questions, see seniors Carter Cobb or Thomas Strelecky, or Mr. Brindisi in Room 265.
