Today marks the first day of Black History Month. Black History Month offers an important opportunity to honor and highlight the accomplishments of Black Americans in history and society, as we continue the study of Black History as American History throughout the year. This event was first celebrated as a week in February of 1926. The week was expanded to a month in 1976 and became officially recognized by the U.S. Government by President Gerald R. Ford. Throughout the month there will be opportunities to learn more and engage in activities in and out of school.

On Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the high school will be open for material pick up for distance learning students. Distance Learning students taking semester classes may need to pick up textbooks and other materials for Semester 2 classes, and may drop off textbooks from Semester 1 classes. Additionally, if you have not picked up your Student ID those will be available as well. Material pick up will be in the lobby - please wear a mask and observe social distancing at all times.
