Junior Capstone Update: Please select an advisor by Monday, March 15th. If you do not select an advisor, one will be assigned to you. The New England Association for College Admission Counseling and the National Association for College Admissions Counseling are both holding a series of virtual college fairs throughout the spring. Students can sign up now for one or more of these events. Articles about both, including registration links, can be found on the School Counseling Blog at https://swhscounseling.blogspot.com
 
Boys State and Girls State are leadership programs for students interested in local and state government. This year the programs are open to junior and senior students and will be held virtually. Anyone interested in applying to the program should contact Mrs. Carty in the Career Center.
 
A local accounting firm is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented student for office work from now until mid-May. Seniors are preferred, but juniors will be considered. Details on the position can be found by contacting the Career Center.
 
Two colleges will host virtual visits TODAY. A representative from Husson University will host a meet at 1:00 p.m. and St. John’s University will host a meet at 1:45 p.m. Students can register for these visits by going to their Naviance Student home screen and looking under the “What’s New” section for a list of upcoming visits. 
 
ATHLETIC NEWS:
Registration for spring athletics is open until March 15th. Please register in Powerschool and submit your Physician’s Statement. See the Athletics registration webpage for more details. The following SWHS Spring Teams will have virtual informational meetings this week: Boys Golf and Boys Volleyball. Please see below for details. Tryouts begin March 27th.
