If you are interested in learning about and/or advocating for mental health, please join the Students for Mental Health Club. We will be fundraising, learning about, and advocating for Mental Health. This will be a safe space for all students. Use the Google code f4ytt3f to join.

Congratulations to all who participated in South Windsor For the Kids this year. The fundraising total revealed at Friday’s virtual dance marathon showed that you raised over $11,400 for the Connecticut Children's Medical Center through Huskython. Since the start of Huskython, South Windsor is the leading fundraiser of high schools in Connecticut. Special congratulations goes to this year's club leaders Leah Craig, Olivia Drezek, Lindsey Lucia and Emma Sansom.

Do you want to be able to speak Japanese? The Japanese Club will meet this Wednesday, March 17th at 2:30 p.m. We will continue to learn and practice basic conversation, so you can start speaking immediately! Code: wt4upbd

Unified for Underprivileged Girls is having a fundraising event on March 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at a local bread and soup restaurant in Evergreen Walk! All proceeds will be donated to underprivileged girls in Kenya! Please present this flyer before ordering your meal so that way proceeds are donated to us! This flyer can also be found on the U.U.G. website linked on the clubs and activities page on the school's website. Spread the word and see you then!

Come to an informational meeting about the NBC (New Book Club) on Tuesday, March 23rd at 4:00 p.m. for readers who embrace perspectives that reflect our diverse, multicultural world. The enrollment window to receive free college credit through MCC is now open for students taking Personal Finance this semester. This college credit can be transferred to any college or university. All eligible students received an e-mail with College Career Pathways enrollment directions to establish a Banner ID at MCC. If you already have a MCC Banner ID from a previous SWHS course, you do NOT need to register again. If you have any questions contact Mr. Leon or Mrs. Carty in School Counseling. The registration period ends on Friday, March 19th with no exceptions.

Student Council and BPO have started a "Staffulty of the Month" award. Students can nominate faculty and staff - someone you feel demonstrates kindness, understanding, encouragement, and more through this interesting school year. Nominations will be reviewed by Student Council officers. Two staff members will be selected every month. They will be recognized at monthly faculty meetings and on the school website. Class of 2021 Parents: Personalized Graduation Yard Signs are now available for purchase! The cost is $20 for an 18” x 24” all weather sign. All proceeds will benefit the SADD Club. More information and the order form are on the homepage. Orders are due by March 31st and pick-up will be in late April.
