The Japanese Club will meet this Thursday, May 20th online. We will explore traditional Japanese food and clothes. The classroom code is wt4upbd. All are welcome.

Friendly Reminder: TOMORROW, Thursday, May 20th is the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) Testing Day for 11th graders. Eleventh graders should arrive by 7:15 a.m. and bring a charged Chromebook and Chromebook charger to the test. ALL other students will have a late arrival and should arrive at school by 10:05 a.m. Dismissal is at 2:00 p.m. Any seniors who are not attending the Senior Outing are expected to attend class as well. Do you have gently used clothes, shoes or stuffed animals that you would like to donate to a good cause? SWHS Friends of the Performing Arts is collecting items for a Savers fundraiser. Drop off at 630 Avery Street on Saturday, May 29th from noon to 5:00 p.m. or Sunday, June 6th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thanks for supporting SWHS Friends of the Performing Arts!

Attention Seniors who were eligible to take a language assessment for the Seal of Biliteracy. You must use the credentials shared with you via a Google Classroom Assignment in April to fully complete all sections of the test by Friday. Email Mrs. Stoj with any questions. 
 
Seniors attending the outing TOMORROW, Thursday, May 20th should arrive at the school for 7:30 a.m. We will meet outside the school in front of the main lobby. Bus assignments will be posted outside the school. Once you find your bus number, please line up in front of your assigned bus. More specific information will be posted to Google Classroom. 
 
Female students in the junior class are invited to submit a letter of intent and a resume to the local chapter of PEO, an international women’s philanthropic educational organization, for their Star Scholarship. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and exhibit excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, and community service. Interested students can see Mrs. Carty in the Career Center for more information or search the Naviance scholarship database for the PEO Star Scholarship.
 
ATHLETIC NEWS:
The Boys Tennis Team celebrated Senior Day by having all the seniors in the varsity lineup and coming away with a decisive 7-0 win vs. Bristol Eastern. Winning for the Bobcats were Jonathan Huot, Rahul Mahesh, Jack Kronenwetter and Matthew Chin at Singles and Vrishab Murali & Anthony Chen, Aidan Kieft & Keshav Ramesh & Manav Surti and Andrew Kotait at doubles. Thanks to the underclassmen who did a great job of planning a Senior Celebration that the Seniors will never forget. The Bobcats record is currently 10 wins and 4 losses with 2 matches left. The next match is Wednesday at Tolland.
